Chanel No 1 De Chanel Revitalising Foundation REVIEW

04:09 0 Comments

Hi guys,

Chanel have recently released their new skincare, makeup and fragrance line - No 1 De Chanel.

This line is sustainable with their packaging and there being no leaflets - they have QR Codes on the boxes which has all information about the product you’ve purchased. They also contain the Red Camellia Flower with 5 anti-ageing benefits and 94% naturally derived ingredients. This is Chanel’s most natural product they’ve created - and it took them 10 years to create!

The foundation comes in 20 shades - which is less than a lot of their other foundations. Luckily, I was able to get my usual shade BD31.

I did a first impression video on my YouTube channel above, where you can see me apply with both a brush and a sponge, I show you how it builds up and a 10 hour wear test! Subscribe to my YouTube channel here!

Now onto the review.

The bottle contains the standard 30ml / 1 fl oz, and the packaging is frosted glass with a plastic lid with the Chanel logo.

The packaging felt very lightweight compared to others like the Les Beiges foundation where the glass packaging is pretty heavy.

I was excited to test this out as it says that it’s suitable for sensitive skin - I have very sensitive acne prone skin so I always have to be careful about which products I use on my face. I was also a little dubious as it says that it’s suitable for all skin types - I have very oily skin so usually a product which can work for dry skin will not also work for me and my oils.

I bought my usual shade - BD31 and the shade is exactly the same as my others in this shade.

There’s not much of a scent to the foundation which I like, and it goes on very light.

My skin with no foundation. You can see a lot of blemishes and redness.

With one layer I get a sheer-light coverage, and I can build it up to light-medium. If you’re after a full coverage foundation, this is not for you.

This won’t cover acne or blemishes, and it won’t fully cover redness but evens the redness out a little. If you want to cover those blemishes, you’ll need use a concealer as well.

I use 2 layers of the foundation with a sponge, and it’s not the best at building up - you have to be very quick before it dries.

2 layers of the foundation.

But I do like the finish I get with this. It’s a little luminous, but also a little matte so looks quite natural - if you’re after a natural look then the Les Beiges foundation would be the one to go for.

It lasts pretty well with my oily skin for 8 hours, and I don’t really need to blot, however it does come off a little on my forehead and on the side of my face so it’s not super long lasting. So, if I want it to look nice around this time then I just build up a little bit on these areas.

The rest of my makeup glides on very easily and I actually prefer the way it looks with the extra products added as you can’t see the blotches.

This did cling to my dry patches, so probably wouldn’t suit very dry skin.

I did have a little bit of itchiness under my nostril and on the side on my face when using this, but it’s only happened twice out of the past month I’ve been wearing it.

Overall, I like this foundation but I’m not in love with it. I prefer my Chanel Ultra Le Teint Velvet and Les Beiges foundations more than this.

It’s probably because I’m quite picky with my foundations as they have to not break me out, control my oils and look quite natural on the skin.

I wouldn’t repurchase it but if you’re on the fence, I’d say try it out!

I’d give this 3/5 stars. It’s not the best foundation, but it’s not the worst I’ve tried. Out of the ones I’ve tested from Chanel, this is the lowest ranking. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Get Ready With Me!

09:00 0 Comments

Hi Guys,

So, I've finally uploaded a new Get Ready With Me. The last time I uploaded one of these videos, was probably last January, so about a year and a half ago!

I don't usually do Get Ready With Me videos, because I usually just have the same makeup look for quite a while for everything, so I don't feel that there's any need to give you the same look over and over again!

I decided to film a new video of me getting ready for a work event. I've had lots of these events recently, and I really love doing this makeup, as I don't use false lashes, and I use a slick of my favourite lipstick.

Also, I've been using new skincare and new makeup, so you'll see part of my skincare routine, and you'll see some new makeup which I am LOVING!

I love watching Get Ready With Me videos, as you can see how to recreate the makeup and I feel as though I'm getting ready with my viewers, so I love that I feel a little connection whilst doing it.

Check out how I created this makeup look, and I hope that you enjoy getting ready with me.

Also, I have a NEW GIVEAWAY at 5,000 subscribers - and we're less than 600 away! I'm so excited!

Enjoy,
Chloe xoxo

NEW 24 HOUR FOUNDATION?! Estee Lauder Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Foundation First Impression!

04:00 0 Comments

Hi Guys,

A couple of weeks ago, all I heard all over Youtube, Cosmopolitan, the Internet, was about Estee Lauder's soon-to-launch Double Wear Foundation.

I already own the original Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, and have kept repurchasing it for the past few years, so hearing about a NEW Formula with 24 HOUR WEAR, I went absolutely crazy, and couldn't wait for the launch!

Check out my First Impression on this foundation (above).

The original Double Wear is my Holy Grail, and has been for the past couple of years. Not only does it have 15 hour wear (it stays in place ALL DAY!), but it gives an incredible finish, a little goes a very long way, and it's the only foundation which can control my oils throughout the day. Also, it's the ONLY foundation I took with me to Florida, where it was super humid, incredibly hot, and was waterproof on all of the water rides!

As I love the original formula, I thought that this new formula, being light-medium coverage, feeling lighter on the skin, being water-based and having 24 hour wear; I felt i couldn't go wrong and it would work perfectly on my skin.

My skin type is Oily-Combination (Very Oily T-zone), Sensitive, Acne-Prone with Redness & Blemishes, and Large Pores.

This new foundation is called Estee Lauder Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Make-up Foundation, and I picked up two different shades - 2W2 Rattan and 3W1 Tawny. 2W2 is the shade I've been using recently of the original, so thought I would get an exact match, and have a slightly darker one for when I'm more self tanned.

The packaging looks almost exactly the same as the original, with it's frosted glass finish and gold cap - it's just a slightly longer bottle.

It contains 30ml/1 fl.oz, SPF 30, and is available in 33 different shades (1C0 Shell to 7N1 Deep Amber).

I  applied this first with a brush to see how it would apply, and then tried a Beauty Blender to see if I could get extra coverage. I felt using the beauty blender gave extra coverage, but would probably use a foundation brush, and it doesn't look as cakey or shiny.

BEFORE AND AFTER

I kept this foundation on of 10 hours, as I wanted to put it through it's paced, for saying it had 24 hour wear.

See my First Impression above, to see what I thought of the foundation, and how it lasted throughout the day.

Let me know what your thoughts are on this foundation, if you've tried it!

Enjoy,
Chloe xoxo

New Beauty Haul!

12:27 0 Comments

Hi Guys,

After hardly buying any new makeup or products to try for a couple of months, I decided to go ahead and purchase some new products to test out that have been raved about for such a long time!

Most of these products featured are high end, with a few drugstore brands thrown in too, and includes fragrance, makeup and skincare.

One product which I was very interested in trying out, was the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Light Therapy Acne Mask. Recently, my skin has been getting bad again, and I've just been having so many breakouts that nothing has worked.
I know that Neutrogena do products which are specifically to help your skin, and has technology used by Dermatologists. Because of this, I thought I should give it a try as it may help to clear my skin back up.

Also, there were a couple of products which have been raved about all over youtube, so decided to buy these as I've been after them for quite a while.

Urban Decay's Naked Basics palette has been one of those products which has been loved, mainly for it's blendability and the fact that it's travel friendly! I bought this as I got a great deal on Fabled - I purchased it for 15% off! Woo Hoo!

Since I purchased this, I have been using it CONSTANTLY, and I can't believe it's taken me so long to actually buy it. I use it for work, going out, running errands...it's literally perfect!
The colours blend amazingly, are highly pigmented, last all day, can work for all skin tones and eye colours.

Another product which has been raved about recently, is the Dermacol Extreme Cover Foundation. It's known for being super full coverage, used in TV and stage, and for making skin look perfect! I've seen so many videos on this, so decided to try it out to see how it would hold up against my oily skin! Check out my First Impression video below.

These are just some of the products featured in my Haul. For most products, I give a mini review to let you know how they have worked for me, and if they're worth the price.

Enjoy,
Chloe xoxo

My Skin Secrets: Acne Blemish Stick

08:32 0 Comments

Hi guys,

Welcome to my new weekly blog posts all about my skincare secret weapons. There are some absolutely amazing products that i have found that work amazingly for my skin. Some are makeup products, some are skincare, and some also work amazingly for my hair.

The first product that I wanted to introduce you to, I haven't spoken about before on my youtube channel or my blog.

It's the Witch Blemish Stick! A great thing about this product is that it is super affordable, and retails for only £2.70.

The blemish stick is like a gel when you apply it, with a hint of blue-green colour. The smell isn't super strong, and certainly not off-putting. If you run out of product, you simply push up from the bottom, and it lasts a very long time!

Now, I know this isn't a new product - it's been around for years and years. As you will know, I suffer from acne and the majority of products don't care for my super sensitive skin. I use this twice a day - once in the morning and once at night - but states on the packaging it can be used as many times as you like.

I actually found out about how good this product was from both my Mum and my older Sister Kayleigh. They both used to use it when they were suffering from acne in their teens and they swear by it. I can honestly say, I agree 100% and this is an amazing and perfect product for my skin, and I have noticed a really big different in how my skin has been acting. It's helping it get clear without irritating my skin.

If you're suffering from acne, or even a little blemish, I definitely recommend that you try it out. You won't be disappointed and you will also notice a difference within a day or two. For under £3, you can't lose.

Chloe,
xoxo

New Products I'm Testing Out For My Acne!

03:03 0 Comments

Hey guys,
As you will know, if you watch my videos, I have been suffering from acne since I was 16. I managed to get it near enough cleared up a few years ago, and then started using Proactiv to keep it at bay.
Now, because I have sensitive skin, the proactive was not the best product for me to use. It started to work for the first year, and because I couldn't use it twice a day which it suggested (because of my sensitive skin) it started to come back, and my face was getting very irritated. And the last few months of me using the product, my acne started to come back a lot worse.
I've been fed up of using many different products to try to get rid of my Acne, and so many of them have worked, and then they stopped working. So this time, I decided to use a product from the brand Clinique. I went to my local Boots Store, and spoke to the lady about my acne. She said the Anti-Blemish 3 Step Solutions was a great product to use and this was great for sensitive skin, it wouldn't irritate me, and the moisturiser won't dry my skin out.
So, I decided to go and purchase this in my hopes it would make my skin nice and clear.
I've been documenting every week of me using this system. I've so far edited  2 updates and a video on how my skin looked before using it. Check them out above, and let me know if you think it's working! I'm doing a new update every week on how my skin looks, and f it's made any difference.

Check out some more of my videos and subscribe to my channel here :)
