The BEST Lip Oils I’ve Tried!

04:17 0 Comments

Hi guys,

Today I wanted to share with you the best lip oils I’ve found - and I’ve tried A LOT!

These lip oils are by KAB Cosmetics, and I’ve been using them for the last year, so I really know how they are and their benefits.

Something I really like about KAB Cosmetics is that all products are cruelty free and they’re Leaping Bunny Approved, so you don’t need to worry about them testing in animals.

They retail for $20 which is a little up there in price, but they’re roughly the same price as the higher end lip oils I’ve seen. But you can save 20% on everything on Kabcosmetics.com by using code ‘ChloeL’.

There’s 6ml in each tube, which is around the same as most lip oils on the market. But, because the formula is quite thick, you don’t need to use much of it.

They come in 6 different shades, with 5 of them making your teeth appear whiter with the violet/blue pigments. They have a slight tint to them which isn’t noticeable that much when wearing them but give a slight colour. The only shade which doesn’t have a tint is Sugar Rush, as it’s a clear lip oil.

The other shades available are Rum Punch (red tint), Honey Dew (orange tint), Grapesicle and Juicy Melon (purple tint), and Blue Raspberry (blue tint).

The only shades I haven’t tried are Sugar Rush and Grapesicle.

All have the same coconut scent which is beautiful! I am sometimes sensitive to scents, but I have no issue with this at all. The only thing I have to say is that I wish they smelt like their names - for instance Honey Dew having a honey or honeydew melon scent. However, I actually love the scent of coconut they’ve added. It smells just like summer and it’s so nice to put it on and still smell it for a couple of seconds.

They have Shea Oil in the ingredients - which is great for hydrating dry skin.

I tend to suffer with dry lips quite often - I need to drink more water - and when I wear these they instantly feel hydrated.

These have a pretty thick consistency, but they don’t feel sticky at all, and the doe foot applicator is large so you can easily and quickly apply to your lips. The packaging is large and sleek, and I never have any issues with leaking. I like that the packing is white with the silver logo, as it seems more clean and it’s much more vibrant on the shade you’re using.

My go-to look has been to use a pink/nude/brown Lipliner to line my lips and going in with a couple of dabs of the lip oil. It’s easy and quick to do, looks beautiful, and hydrates your lips whilst looking shiny and glossy.

I’m currently using Rum Punch and Blue Raspberry as I find these tints pair great with any lip liners I use. If I want to slightly warm up the shade, I use Rum Punch, and if I want a cooler tone I use Blue Raspberry.

(Top - Rum Punch; Bottom - Blue Raspberry)

I keep one tube on my side table which I use before I go to bed, one in my bag, and one by my desk when I work! So, I guess you can say that I have one with me at all times.

Swatches: (Top - Blue Raspberry; Bottom - Rum Punch)

This review is not sponsored at all - I’ve bought all products by myself - and because I love this product, I wanted to share my experience and a coupon code where you can save some money!

Enjoy,

KAB Cosmetics Mystery Box - Is It Worth $250?!

04:50 0 Comments

Hi guys,

It’s been a while since I’ve done a blog post!

I wanted to post about the KAB Cosmetics Mystery Box, as I was pretty intrigued about what it contains as it’s $150 but everything retails for $254! I couldn’t find any reviews or any posts about what the box contains, and the experiences of others, so I thought I’d pick it up and it may help some of you thinking the same.

I’ve had both good and bad products from KAB Cosmetics, and I’ve tried out the majority of their products they stock on the website - I always go for the bundles they add on their site where you have a few different products to try which is why I’ve tried so many!

The products are quite up there in price, so I recommend you always use a coupon code as then you can get more for your money and it’s not as bad if something doesn’t work out well.

There were two products I was hoping to get in this mystery his - lip oils and the contour palette because they’re some of my favourite products from this brand.

I’ll let you know what I received, and in my video I let you know if I think it was worth the money I purchased it for - here’s a heads up, I used a 30% off coupon code so didn’t pay the full price 😉

If you’ve never tried anything from KAB Cosmetics, or if you don’t know about them, they’re a cosmetics company created by Kim Zolciak Biermann, and her daughters Brielle and Ariana. You can purchase some products from Walmart, although apparently they’re slightly different to what’s on the website as the prices are a little cheaper.

Anyway, let’s get on with the details about the box!

If you want to purchase anything from KAB Cosmetics, I have a coupon below the review for 20% off your entire order!

About the Mystery Box

The box has a retail value of $254, and you can purchase for $150 from their website, so you save $100 on the purchase. They mentioned on their Instagram that every box contains their Bombshell Beauty Oil, and the Undress Me lip kit. Already there, you have a $79 value. The box also contains at least 9 full sized products. I don’t know if every box contains the same products, or if everyone receives just those two items the same.

When I’d received the box, it was just a normal cardboard packing box with the items in there. There was no KAB box like it shows on the website, so that was a bit of a disappointment. But hey ho, all the products were full to the top and had good packaging coming all the way from the US to the UK.

Shipping was incredibly quick! I’d received in a few days after I’d purchased it, which is crazy considering it’s coming thousands of miles, and was quicker than some UK post I’ve waited for!

The items

The first two items I received were the Bombshell Beauty Oil, and the Undress Me lip kit.

Both products I feel I’ll be using (I was excited about the beauty oil and I’d researched the ingredients and they look good for oily acne prone skin which I have!). The lipkit looks like a nice shade that I’d wear, so no shockers there!

Next, I’d received the Hydrating Setting Mist. This I wasn’t too sure about because I have very oily skin, and usually I stay away from anything which says ‘hydrating’. When I looked at the ingredients, it contains Witch Hazel which is great for acne. The sprayer was great as well and gave a nice mist - not a drenched look at all!
This one was a pleasant surprise for me as it may actually work well for my skin type. There’s also a slight hint of coconut scent, so if you’re sensitive to those types of smells then it may not be the best for you.

I’d also received a face palette which I already own. I do genuinely enjoy the palette and have used it quite a lot (the screenshot is of my opened palette so you can see the shades as I didn’t want to open a new one). I like 2 of the 3 shades, and it’s a beautiful gel to powder formula. Again, a product I use and like so not a disappointment for me.

Now, this is where it goes a bit different. Out of the 10 products I received in my box, 7 were lipsticks, lip kits or lip liners!
70% of the products I received in my box were lip products!

I’d received 3 lip liners (all different shades of brown/nude), 2 nude lipsticks (which were beautiful but very close together in shades) and another lip kit in Cherry Pie (which is a lovely bright red).
I’ve used the lip liners before and they’re ok. They do stay on well, but they’re quite a dry formula compared to their new ones. I’ve also received 2 of the 3 lip liner shades in previous bundles, so I wish there was a variety on shades they hadn’t used before in previous bundles.

The nude lipsticks look beautiful so I’m pretty happy with those, but the lip kit is a disappointment because I have it already and I don’t really use red shades.

I know they’re known for their lip kits and lip oils, but they have plenty of other products they could have given. I appreciate that they have several different shades of things as everyone uses different things, but I think it was a bit over kill in all honesty.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I like that they catered for different colour options, but they were all the same thing. If they’d thrown in a lip oil or the duo, or if they’d added their bestselling shades then it may have been a bit different.

Check out my video above to see if I’d repurchase another one, or if I’d recommend it to you to purchase if you’re curious.

NYX Born To Glow Naturally Radiant Foundation!

10:46 0 Comments

Hi Guys,

So it's been A WHOLE YEAR since I posted on here, and in all honesty I just haven't had the time. I'll speak more about this in another post, but for this post, I'm going to be talking about a BRAND NEW foundation which has just come over to us in the UK.

This foundation is the NYX Born To Glow foundation, and I was a little hesitant to purchase this as I haven't had the best track record with NYX foundations - see here https://youtu.be/hF9-OZjfpng . That foundation was by far the worst I've tried and I've tried A LOT!

Anyway, I saw this in my local Boots store and quickly colour matched myself as I was in a rush. I didn't have any high hopes for this as it was glowy, radiant and by NYX. If you have oily skin, you know that we stay away from anything which promises a glow. Saying this, I really like the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and that stays put on my skin, so I thought 'why not?'.

The shade which I purchased was Medium Olive. I self tan so I always go for a warm or olive undertone and I'm usually all set, and you know what? I was proud of myself because IT MATCHED!
There are 40 shades available in all shades from very pale to very deep, so no matter which skin tone you have, you're probably going to find a perfect match.

There wasn't any claims on the packaging and the website just said that it was medium-buildable coverage, and it was cruelty free with a vegan formula.

When I applied the foundation, I used a beauty blender and it buffed out so easily and smoothly. I managed to build it up on any red areas easily, and I didn't need to have a second layer over my skin. It had a nice glow to it, and didn't make me look oily or sweaty like some do with a 'glow'.
The rest of my makeup went on very well all buffed out smoothly.
It covered all of my blemishes and the redness.

I tested this foundation out for 9 hours and it was actually amazing!

After 9 hours of wear, it basically looked the same as when I first applied it. I didn't look oily or greasy, however I didn't look matte either.
The shade matched me perfectly and the undertone was very nice and natural. I would happily wear it out after this amount of time and I would only need to do minimal touchups which is a rarity for me.

The only negatives I really have with this, is that it exxcentuated my pores and they looked huge, and it looked a little caked around my eyebrows and on my cheeks near my nose. Other than this, the foundation lasted incredibly well.

I've tested this out a couple more times since the first impression, and it is still holding up well. I will have to try it with a pore-filling primer to see if it can look any better around those areas.

Other than the 2 negatives, this foundation performed amazingly and it may be a new drugstore favourite.

Thanks for watching my videos and reading my blog,
Chloe xoxo

New Year New Things - Life Update!

11:48 0 Comments
So, it's been a whole 6 months since I last posted on my blog, and I don't think I've ever had that amount of time off!

Usually I post met Christmas Wishlist (I didn't really have one this year), or my OOTD posts, or I let you know when I've uploaded a new video to my Youtube Channel here!

I'm going to start this new year by trying to make more time for my youtube channel, and my blog, because I've just been neglecting them more than usual.

There are a few reasons why I haven't been so active on both platforms, which I'm going to let you know about now.

1) I have recently received a promotion at work, and am now a Senior. This means more hours and work...and best of all more money ;) This means that I haven't managed to have enough time to film and edit videos, so some months I've only been uploading once every 2 weeks, which I absolutely hated! I love uploading at least once a week, because I love filming the videos and seeing your comments.

2) I have started 2 new online courses. Now because these are online courses, it doesn't mean that I have so much spare time because I don't. They take up time, and in truth, these have had to go on the back burner also for the last couple of months.

3) I recently bought and moved into my first house. We've been living here for around a month, so just before Christmas, which was probably the worst time to ever move in! It was so hectic, and we've still got boxes in all of the rooms, and still have boxes at our parents' houses. So soon, we should be all settled, and I'll have enough time to film multiple videos a week! YAY

One great thing which has come from last year, is that now I have moved into my own home, I finally have a filming room, so finally have somewhere quiet to film my videos! Once my schedule gets settled, I'll be filming and uploading more which I am so excited for!

In the meantime, check out my first video uploaded for this year! It's a 'What I Got For Christmas' Video, and I film these EVERY YEAR!

Enjoy. And if you have any video requests, just let me know. :)

Drugstore Vs High End - £10/$14 vs £18/$24 FULL COVERAGE CONCEALER!

08:00 0 Comments

Hi Guys,

In today's video, I tested out 2 full coverage concealers which have exactly the same promises - one is a brand new product, and the other is a cult classic and holy grail product of mine.

In this video, I pitted the cult Mac Pro Longwear Concealer against the new EX1 Fluide Delete Concealer. I had never tested out the EX1 concealer before, so this was my complete first impression.

I have loved the Mac concealer for years, and have been constantly repurchasing it, as it's medium-full coverage, doesn't look caked and looks very natural on the skin. It stays put all day, and I have never had an occasion where it's budged from anywhere I have placed it. This concealer paired with the Estee Lauder Double Wear are the perfect combination for bulletproof and waterproof makeup. You will look the same from when you first apply it, until after 20 hours of wear! It is literally perfection!

The EX1 Fluide Delete Concealer is a new product which they've just launched, and it's had so much buzz in the celebrity world, as well as in magazines and on instagram. I deliberately made sure to not see any reviews of this concealer, as I didn't want it to influence my first impression, as I was completely unaware how it would blend or cover. I've been a big fan of EX1 for a while now, so I was very excited to see that they had just released a brand new product. The fact that it promises it to be full coverage without looking cakey, was something that really drew me to it. Also, the fact that Margot Robbie is a huge fan, sort of swayed me to buy it as well! 😉

As I wanted to make sure that both shade were the same shade or incredibly similar, I wasn't too sure which shade I needed to buy. The shade names are the same as the foundation, so it's easy to find which shade you would be if you were spot concealing, and they recommend going a shade lighter to highlight. I originally purchased the shades 4.0 and 3.0, as I'm usually 4.0 or 5.0 in the foundation. After swatching these on my arm next to the bottle of my MAC Concealer, I knew that they were way too dark to match, so went ahead and purchased 2.0 in the hopes that it wasn't going to be too light.
And, as it turned out, 2.0 was the perfect shade!

Both concealers have a warm undertone, so I thought that they would practically be the same shade. I was wrong because EX1 are for olive skin tones, and there's a bit of a difference in the undertones from warm and olive - sometimes warm, can come across as orange or red, and olives are strictly brown-yellow.

The shades that I used in this video are NC20 (MAC) and 2.0 (EX1) and they were a great match! Even though they're incredibly close in shade, the undertone of the Mac concealer is pretty pink, and I've always thought of it as quite yellow/neutral.

To see my first impression and my full comparison between both concealers, check out the video above.
And don't forget to subscribe to my channel, there will be a new giveaway coming up very soon!

Enjoy,
Chloe xoxo

My Handbag Essentials!

11:21 0 Comments
Hi guys,

I haven’t done any blogs on my favourite handbag essentials before, but as I’ve been in holiday and have found some that I LOVE and have been using for a long time, I thought that I’d share them with you.

These items have been my go-to items, and are amazing if you like to pack lightly, or have a very small bag, where you don’t wish to overflow with products!

This handbag has been my go-to bag ever since I bought it, because it’s jusy so gravel friendly, and even though it’s small, it can still fit w lot of stuff.

I’m going to go through each product, and explain why I love it, and what I use it for.

Michael Kors Jet Set Crossbody in Oyster
I bought this bag just before Christmas, as I had been living the Gucci Soho Disco Bag, but I didn’t think it was worth nearly £800. I saw this in the store and thought that it looked incredibly similar, only more beautiful!
I purchased my bag in the shade Oyster, as I wanted something that I could use for all seasons, plus it’s pink, which is my favourite colour!
The bag is structured, so it always keeps its shape, no matter how many items your stuff in there, and the Saffiano Leather is very thick and durable, so you don’t need to worry about which type of weather you have it out in. I’ve had it in rain or sunshine, and it’s wayerproof and has held up amazingly through both, and still looks exactly the same since I bought it, and I’ve used it ALOT!
The only negative, is that because this bag is such a light colour, I do tend to get colour transfer with a pair of my jeans, but you can sort that out with just an eraser and you should be fine!
Even though this bag is pretty small, I can still fit a lot in here. I used it for my trip to London at Christmas, and it’s the perfect dimensions for my tablet, so I managed to a lot that in one of the pockets!
It’s truly is an amazing bag, and it’s probably one of my best purchases I’ve made.

Canon SX600HS Camera
I have had this camera for the past 3 years, and I bought it specifically for when I travel and for vlogging. Before this, I used to take my giant Canon 500D to the theme parks, and even though it has amazing camera quality, it was just way too big to fit anywhere, and it would kill my arm after a couple of minutes.
I bought this from Costco in a set with a gorilla pod, and I think it was around £100, which was incredible as they had only just bought out this camera when I purchased it.
The camera and video quality is incredible, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who travels a lot, or if you’re a beginner in vlogging.
When I upgrade to a newer camera, which won’t be until this one is completely dead, I’d go for another canon, but one which has a flip screen on it. That would make it so much easier for when I have the camera looking at myself, and I can see if the flipped viewfinder.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Lip Protectant
The is the newest product that I’ve purchased out of the Essentials, and I’m already blown away by it.
If you haven’t heard of the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Range, where have you been? The do so many products in the line - like hand protectant, face lotions, face sprays, and lip balms, etc. - and I’ve only heard positive reviews about everything.
I’ve been after the lip protectant and the balm for years, but always thought that it was quite expensive. Then I saw this in a set with other travel products, and I had to pick it up.
I’ve tried lip balms in the past the seem as though they don’t really do a lot, and my lips always seem to feel more dry after using them. But with this one, my lips are so smooth, supple, and the smell is beautiful! It had a very slight perfume smell, which isn’t overpowering, and my lips haven’t felt so smooth since last summer.
I love this product, and I know that I’ll repurchase it once it runs out!

Bath & Bodyworks ‘Pretty As Peach’ Hand Sanitiser
If you have been watching my YouTube channel for a while, you will know that I’m obsessed with fruit smelling hand sanitizers. The Pretty As Peach hand gel smells AMAZING!
I’m one of those people who is a bit of a germaphobe when I’m out and about, or when I’m at work. I never used to like the chemical smell of the anti-bacterial hand gels when I was younger, and when I found out that they sell them with every scent you can imagine, I screamed a little!
I buy my hand gels from the Bath and Bodyworks Outlet in Florida every year I visit - where they’re 5 for $6, so naturally I buy 20!
If you’re not from the US, or don’t want to pay a bomb in shipping, then you can buy a Strawberry and Raspberry hand gel from Superdrug, which also smells AMAZING!
These little gels are great for travel, or for putting in your handbag, because they’re so small, but you get a lot of product in there.
I love them, I never leave the house without it, and I don’t know what I’m going to do when I run out!

Louis Vuitton Key Pouch in Monogram
I purchased this Key Pouch as a present to myself, for my 24th Birthday last January. I used to use it a lot when I first bought it, but I’ve been drifting apart from it, ever since I bought my Zippy Multicartes.
I started using this again, for my trip to Florida, in February, and I’m so happy that I took it, because I used it EVERY DAY!
This piece is pretty versatile, as you can use it as a mini purse, and you can use it to keep some necessities in. I used it as both.
When I ventured to the theme parks, or somewhere where I didn’t want to take a lot of cash to, I used it as a mini purse. You can actually fit quite a lot in there. At the same time, I also used it for some necessities, things that you might need in case of an emergency. I also used it to keep plasters, hair ties, hair bobbles, hair grips, and a lip balm/ lipgloss.
This thing may be tiny, but it can hold a lot!
Also, as it was my very first luxury purchase, it will always hold a special place in my heart.

Victoria’s Secret Rollerball Fragrance in Bombshell and Bombshell Paris
For the past couple of years, I have been obsessed with Victoria’s Secret body mists and perfumes. When they had a giant sale in my local store, I decided to go ahead and pick up one of these roller balls - it was £3, so even if I didn’t like one of the scents, I haven’t really lost out.
I’ve really been liking the ‘Bombshell’ fragrance for a while, but have always thought that the full sized ones are quite expensive, and it usually takes me ages to get through them.
I’ve bought a couple of roller balls last year, and I love how travel friendly they are, and how they fit in all of my bags. I’ve been trying to get into being a minimalist with my bags and everything I take out with me, so having one of these is a great choice!
I love the fact that there are 2 fragrances, so you can change them up, depending on what your mood is, or which you want to use for each day.
These roller balls are long lasting, and smell beautiful!

Louis Vuitton Zippy Multicartes in Fuchsia
This piece is my newest purchase from Louis Vuitton, and this was a little treat to myself, for passing my Nail Technician Course...so it was more of a 'well done' piece.
I've been after this piece for quite a while, and saw a video from Shea Whitney, about what she uses it for, and how much she loves it, so knew that it was something on my radar. As I had purchased my Michael Kors Crossbody, I felt as though my small Michael Kors use was just too big, and it took quite a lot of work to get my cards out to pay, as the card sections were very slim.
Ever since I bought this new purse, I have been using it a loving it! Even though its 1/3rd of the sir of a normal sized purse, you can fit A LOT of stuff in here. In fact, I managed to take everything out of 2 of my purses, and squeeze them into this one with no problem!
In this little gem, I can fit 10 cards, train tickets, vouchers/gift cards, cash (coins and notes), and I STILL have room. It fits in every bag, and I can pop it into one of the little sections in my Original Club Organiser. The bonus with this, is that it will never take up too much room.
The colour is beautiful - Monogram canvas with fuchsia leather zip pull and lining. It's just a stunning piece.
If you're looking to minimise your bag, or if you just want something that you can take to the shops, this is the perfect piece of you. I don't think that I'll ever go to a full size purse again!

So, that's my newest handbag essentials, and my reasons behind why I love them so much!

If you have/use these items too, let me know if you love them as much as I do. Also, if you have any recommendations, just let me know too!

Thanks for reading,
Chloe xoxo

My Christmas Wishlist 2017!

01:13 0 Comments

My Christmas Wishlist

Every year, I always get asked what I would like for Christmas, and I always say the same thing - 'I don't know'.
Every year, I find it so hard to actually find anything that I'd like. This is mainly because if I need something, I'll just go ahead and buy it myself.
This year, I actually managed to find four things that I's like for Christmas, and one of them is basically just a 'filler' present. For instance, I do really like this present, but I've pretty much got something very similar to the point where I don't really need them.

Here's the only four things which are on my Wishlist. Of course, if I don't get these for Christmas, I'll be extremely grateful for anything I receive. It's just a fun little thing I put together (which I do every year), so I can let you all know what I've been lusting over.

Smashbox Sculpting Cheek Palette

I saw this when I went into Boots last weekend with my Mum. I was looking for something for Neil, and happened to go across the Smashbox Counter and this drew my eye straight away.
I love anything to do with highlight and blush, and I feel like I really need to try out some more of them, and get myself out of the rut with using the same two products - Mac Springsheen Blush, and TheBalm's Mary-Lou Manizer. Don't get me wrong, these are my favourite, but I feel like I just need to experiment more with different products.
Also, this palette is travel friendly, so I could put it to some great use on holiday in February!

Adidas Superstar Shoes in Black & Gold

These trainers, I have been loving over the last month or so. I never really thought I'd be a trainers person - I usually just stick to my white converse which I wear pretty much every day.
I've been really loving the Gucci Trainers, but I wouldn't spend £500 on a pair of trainers - they're waaaay out of my budget and they're just too much! So, I watched a video a little while ago from Shea Whitney, who mentioned that she wasn't sure if she was going to buy the Gucci Trainers and found these as a great alternative. Since that video, I've been loving the trainers, but I do think they're quite expensive. To me, £75 for shoes is quite expensive, but because I only have size 5.5 feet, I can get away with the Youth's sizes, which are only £45. I've been hinting this to my Mum, so hopefully she gets my hint. 😏

Coco Mademoiselle Eau De Parfum

I always manage to find one perfume which I'm loving every year, and I always give the task to buy it for me to Neil. He is my boyfriend after all, so he can spend a bit extra on me! hehe
I'm never really someone who goes for expensive perfumes, as I usually just stick to my Britney Spears perfumes which always smell beautiful, and they're pretty cheap here.
A few months ago, I was again in Boots with my Mum, when I was just browsing the Chanel and Dior perfume counters. I've never really been a fan of Chanel perfume before, as I feel like they just tend to smell a little old and overpowering on me.
My mum sprayed the Chanel NO5 which she has loved for years, and I decided to spray the Coco Mademoiselle, and I was in love with the scent! It's one of the most beautiful scents I've smelt, and it's just perfect! It's floral, but not over powering, there's hints of sweetness, but not too much, and it smells fresh, but not too fresh. I usually hate anything to do with florals, as I like my sweet fragrances, but this is just AMAZING!
It is very expensive, but it's stunning!

UGG Bailey Bow Boots

For the past few years, I've always told myself that I was going to buy some real UGG Boots. As you all know, they're pretty pricey boots - these ones are around £130!
I've bought myself a couple of pairs from Costco which have been such good quality, and only cost me around £20, and I believe they're made from the same materials too.
However, I've been loving these for at least 2 years, and I've always said to myself, 'As soon as it gets to winter, you'll buy yourself a pair of those', and it never seems to happen.
The good news is, I also get student discount so I'll say money on them, but it's just quite a big chunk of money for around Christmas time.
I don't necessarily need these, as I already have my Costco Uggs which are great, but they're a little thing I'd like to get one day.

Obviously, if I don't receive any of these for Christmas, I will be super grateful with anything I have. Christmas is my favourite time of the year, and it's the time for giving back.
I'm not someone who only wants specific thing, as I love anything that anyone gets me because I know they've put thought into it! 😀

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!

Chloe xoxo

CHRISTMAS MAKEUP!!!

03:06 0 Comments

Hi Guys,

I've filmed my Christmas/Holiday Makeup for this year - I wasn't able to upload one last year because there were many problems with my Mac and Camera.

This makeup look is one of my favourites, and I think it's my favourite Christmas Look I've created! I wanted to create a look using the main colours for Christmas - Green and Red - and I feel that this look shows that off!

After I filmed this tutorial, I kept it on all day and felt completely christmassy and festive, and I had compliments from my Mum and Neil on the eyeliner. So, it gets their seal of approval too!

I wanted to create something that was easy to do on the eyes - there are only a few products used - and so that even if you're not as confident with wearing colours, it'll be easy to pull off.

Check out the video (above), and let me know if you recreate this look this holiday season!

Enjoy,

Chloe xoxo

THE BIGGEST LASHES EVER?! Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara First Impression

03:00 0 Comments

I tested out the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara for a review on my channel in a new First Impression. (video above)
Because this mascara promised thick, full lashes with false lash effect, I decided to compare this to my Holy Grail Covergirl The Supersizer Mascara. I love the Covergirl mascara because it gives me lashes that I wish I had - thick, long and separated - and it's super affordable!

This mascara promises dramatic Volume, Longer Lashes and a Dramatic Look with only one coat! Looking at the photo on the front of the packaging, it also seems to show that you will have a false lash effect.
I used this mascara for the whole day (over 10 hours) so I could see how this mascara held up, and I feel like I have mixed feeling about this.

This product is a bit controversial, as I've seen so many reviews where someone either loves it or hates it! I know that I'd probably be on either end of the spectrum, which made me more excited to test it out and give my overall opinion.

I like the way that this mascara makes my lashes look - thick and full with a false lash effect. During the 10 hours of wear, it didn't smudge or break off, and my lashes held their curl.

Saying this, I had to use 3 coats of this for my lashes to actually look any good! With all mascaras, I don't do 3 coats as the most I do is 2. After 3 coats, the mascara can start to make he lashes look clumpy and spidery, and it just doesn't look that good at all. With this, it really didn't look clumpy, and it did almost the same as what it showed on the packaging - beautiful full lashes.

I would have liked it to give me title more volume - as I usually get more volume from my $5 Covergirl mascara, but it did look nice during the day.

I found the wand to be way too big! I couldn't really do my bottoms lashes with the wand because of how big it is, and it just ends up getting messy! If I was to use this everyday, I'd probably; end to use a different mascara for the lower lashes.

Would I spend £19/$23 on this mascara? I don't think I would. I think because I know that my Holy Grail mascara gives me the same amount of volume, separates my lashes more and is super affordable, I think I actually prefer that one - plus, it's a quarter of the price, so you wouldn't be breaking the bank by repurchasing it!
Also, as you need to use 3 coats of this to give you the effect it promises, I don't think the bottle would last that long, as you need to use a lot of iron each lash.

I've been testing this mascara out for the past week to see if In can make up my mind, and I do really like it, but I'm still not sure if I prefer my Covergirl mascara over this.

Pros:
Holds the curl all day.
Makes my lashes super log, full and thick.
Doesn't clump.
Doesn't flake.
Good formula - not too dry or too wet.
Nice packaging.

Cons:
You need to use a lot of the product to get the look promised - 3 coats.
Very expensive.
Wand is too big.
Very messy on the bottom lashes.
Won't last very long, as you have to use a lot of the product.

Enjoy,
Chloe xoxo

MORE MAKEUP DECLUTTER - Parts 2 & 3!

08:30 0 Comments

Hi Guys,

If you've been watching my channel, you'll know that I've been going through a MAJOR Spring Clean of my Makeup Collection!

I've been decluttering each drawer in my Alex 9 Drawers, and I can tell you know, I have gotten rid of A LOT of makeup!

In Part 2, I decluttered all of my Powders, Blushes, Bronzers and Highlighter, where there was a total of 70 items which I was going through. I think I did pretty well on this video, as there was one product that I've kept close to my heart, ever since I received it when I was around 12-13 years old. It was actually quite hard for me to declutter this drawer, as there were some that I just didn't want to let go.

In Part 3, I decluttered all of my Lip Products - Lip Balms, Lip Tints, Lip Liners, Lipglosses, Liquid Lipsticks and Lipsticks. This video is twice as long as my other videos, as I had absolutely no idea that I had over 170 LIP PRODUCTS!!! My collection was just absolutely crazy, and I can't believe I hd that many, as I didn't even use half of them. This video was quite easy for me, as I had lots of things that had either expired, or that I knew I was never going to use. In this video, I decluttered the most out of all of the videos!

To see how I did, click on the videos above or below. Part 2 (above), Part 3 (below).

Makeup Declutter - Part 1 (Foundations, Concealers, Primers & Setting Sprays)

08:00 0 Comments

Hi Guys,

I've been waiting for quite a while to film my Makeup Declutter series, as my makeup collection has gotten just too much!

If you've seen my Makeup Collection videos (Part 1 & Part 2), you will know that I have A LOT of makeup, and I'm basically a hoarder.
So last week, I decided that enough was enough, I had no room left to put my new purchases, and I just had way too many products in each of my drawers. I decided that it's finally time for me to clear out my drawers, and get rid of anything that I either don't us, is the wrong colour for me, is empty, or has expired.

Going into this, I didn't realise exactly how many products I had, until I had emptied them out onto my floor. The sheer amount of foundations I had completely baffled me, and I knew I had a problem!

In this Makeup Declutter series, I've gone through 5 of my drawers, and decided to try to get rid of around half of my makeup collection.

The first drawer wasn't very hard for me - I pretty much knew which foundations I used and which ones I wanted to keep. There were a few that I hadn't used for a while, so it was nice to be able to see them. Seeing them again, made me think that I really need to start using them or just bin them once and for all.

With all of the makeup I get rid of, I will be giving it to friends and family (if it's been used), selling them (if they've never been opened), or chucking in the bin (if they're empty).

I'm impressed with how well I managed to do on this drawer, and I have so much more room in my drawer, and can finally see everything in there!

Enjoy,
Chloe xoxo

24 HOUR MATTE FOUNDATION?! YSL All Hours Foundation First Impression!

08:00 0 Comments

Hi Guys,

I tried out the YSL All Hours Foundation for a First Impression on my youtube channel last week (see video below).
I've had high expectations for this foundation, as all I've heard on youtube is people raving about it, saying how much they loved it, (also, Casey Holmes has super oily skin and she tried this out, and loved it) so I thought I'd give it a go. Anything which says matte, I instantly know that I have to try it.

My skin type: very oily t-zone with combination skin, blemishes, redness, sensitive, acne prone with large pores.

The mains claims which this foundation advertises are; Matte, Flawless, Even finish; Full coverage; Stays put for up to 24 hours; Waterproof and Transfer Resistant; Helps to reduce the appearance of pores; Skin look Fresh and Smooth.

As this foundation states that it has 24 HOUR WEAR!, I decided that I'd test it out for as long as I could, and wanted to make sure that I kept it on my skin for at least 8 hours - as this is a usual work day, and some of you would probably want to see how it holds up for the average work day.

I have tested out a foundation a couple of months ago, which also claimed to have 24 hour wear - Estee Lauder Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Makeup - and found it to be pretty crap. It didn't hold up very well on my oils, and I wasn't overall impressed with it.

I felt this foundation would be better, as it's a matte formula, so had very high hopes, but wouldn't be as shocked if it didn't work out for me.

Before

After

After testing out this foundation for a few more times, here are the Pros and Cons.

Pros:
- Dried to a Matte Finish.
- Didn't make me oily at all - even after 10 hours, and my forehead usual gets shiny after 5 hours with other foundations.
- The packaging is stunning, and they also included a pump. *BIG Thumbs Up for the pump*
- Gave me a flawless look to my skin.
- Formula was almost the same as my EL Double Wear Original (my holy grail foundation).
- Medium to Full Coverage.
- Very buildable. I could build up this foundation, and it didn't look cakey or patchy at all.
- Available in a wide range of shades, in Cool, Neutral, and Warm Undertone. Shades for very light to very dark skin colours.
- No smell/fragrance.
- Contains SPF20, which is perfect for the spring and summertime.
- My pores and laughter lines were very reduced.
- Didn't break me out, and was great on my sensitive skin!

Cons:
- Only 25ml, which is smaller than the usual foundation weight.
- Very pricey for the amount of product. £33.50 or $58.
- Doesn't fully cover up redness.
- Became patchy on one side of my face (on my cheeks) during the day.
- Transferred easily.
- Oxidised A LOT! Make sure the buy a shade lighter, or wait a minute for it to dry before you purchase the shade.

Overall, I love how to foundation looks on my skin. It makes my skin appear flawless, and covers up blemishes very well. You don't need too much of the foundation, however you do need more than the Marc Jacobs Remarcable Foundation, which contains slightly less than the YSL.

The foundation hasn't broken my skin out, and I haven't been irritated from it.
It does come off on one side of my face when I'm at work - maybe it could be transferring as part of my job is working on phones.

This foundation is beaufil on the skin, and it controls my oils throughout the WHOLE DAY! I love the appearance of my skin when using it, however I'm unsure if I would repurchase, as I do need to apply more foundation after work due to transferring. Saying this, the foundation builds up very well, but I'd need to see if I have any other foundations (other than EL DW) which hold up better for work.

Enjoy,
Chloe xoxo
