OOTD #8 - Date Night!

05:00 0 Comments
Hi Guys,

I couple of months ago, I went on a date with Neil, to go to see Micky Flanagan Live!

Micky Flanagan is one of my favourite - if not my favourite - comedians, who we've been to see before, and we LOVED him! I bought tickets to see him for Neil's birthday, and he was completely shocked, as we were only 15 rows from the front, as I'm literally the best person for looking for seats!

As I wanted something that I felt comfortable with sitting in for a couple of hours, and something that wasn't too dressy, where I could wear it casual or dressed up, I decided to go for one of my trusty Boohoo dresses.

I have four of these colours, and I can't stop wearing them because they're just such an easy piece to pull off. If I go out for a nice meal and I don't know what I'm going to wear, I'll pop on one of these trusty dresses. They literally stretch with my stomach, so I can eat as much as I want! haha

These dresses are only £8 from Boohoo, and are such versatile pieces. You can wear them on a day out shopping, night out, date night, to work, and they literally suit every occasion.

I have the red, nude, khaki and black dresses, and I just can't get over how cheap and great quality they are! Just bare in mind that you'll have to go a size up in these, as they come up quite small.

I hope you all liked my affordable Outfit Of the Day/Night!

If you want know which lipstick i'm wearing, it's one of my favourites, Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick in Beloved.

What I'm Wearing:
Dress: Boohoo (here)
Watch: Michael Kors (here)
Shoes: Dorothy Perkins (Sold Out)
Bag: River Island (Similar)

Enjoy,
Chloe xoxo

SUMMER FASHION HAUL!

08:00 0 Comments

Hi Guys,

So recently, I decided that I was going to clear out my wardrobe with all items that I either haven't worn, or knew that I was never going t wear. I managed to clear out a HUGE black bin bag full of clothes!

Because I managed to get rid of quite a few things, and I needed some new summer cloths - dresses, playsuits, skirts. I decided to go on a shopping trip with my friend, and stock up on some essential pieces I know that I will be wearing constantly throughout summer.

As I purchased quite a few new pieces, I decided to show you all in a new Huge Summer Try On Haul (above). Along with showing you the pieces, I've also tried them on for you, so you can see how they fit.

I picked up skirts, cropped tops, playsuits/rompers, shoes, and more; and I purchased from New Look, Primark, Hollister, and Victoria's Secret. All descriptions & links are in the description box in the video.

For reference, I'm a UK Size 8, and I'm 5ft 9.

Some pieces I show in the video:

Playsuit/Romper from Hollister - £20

Playsuit/Romper from Primark - £10

Let me know which item is your favourite, and what's your go-to piece for summer!

Enjoy!

Chloe xoxo

First Impressions Friday!

06:56 0 Comments
I love doing reviews but I knew that I did a lack of review videos, and I just always try different products. So I wondered, what about sharing my First Impression of these products with everyone.
I've seen a lot of videos of reviewers using Fridays as their designated day for doing these review so decide I would hop on the band wagon and do Fridays as my first impressions days. There are so many new products I would love to try out, and if I didn't like them, I could always return them back to the store, or give them to some friends or family members who would actually like them if I didn't. Obviously I would give other people my mascaras or pencil eyeliners, they could get an infection!
I decided just after Christmas I would do these videos, so my subscribers could easily know that I was doing a new review every Friday of new products.
I received a Soap & Glory Thick and Fast mascara for Christmas, so decided that was to be my first video. I then saw a new foundation in my local drugstore so decided to try that out too! (it said that it was full coverage and I needed a full coverage foundation really bad.
So here are my first two first impressions videos. See if I liked them or didn't.

Enjoy,
Chloe :)

Make-up Palettes!

07:48 0 Comments
Since I've started taking notice of my make-up and eye shadow recently, I've started buying eye shadow palettes. I have never just gone out and bought an eye shadow palette before, because I just didn't see the point of using eye shadow.

I just thought it was something that I didn't need to use. That was until I started watching more and more YouTube tutorials on make-up and from where I saw how some YouTube gurus look absolutely perfect from the way they do their eye shadow. Who would have thought that a little bit of contouring and eye shadow could make such a difference.

The you tubers I am talking about are ones like Casey Holmes and Tanya Burr. Since being a subscriber to their channels, I've noticed how beautiful you can make your make-up. There really is an art to it. Who knew that you could make your eyebrows the focus by highlighting them? Not me!

Because of this, I recently went out a few weeks ago and purchased two eye shadow palettes that I've heard so many people rave about. These palettes are the MUA eye shadow palettes "Undressed" and "Undress me Too". So many people have said how they are amazing dupes for the Urban Decay Naked Palettes. So thought I'd buy them. They are only £4 each, so this was pretty great.

So far, I'm having a lot of fun with these palettes. Although I must say, I'm liking the "Undressed" palette more than the other. Only because I much prefer using Rose Gold colours in the winter, because they look super beautiful against my pale skin tone. But the Golds in the other palette would look so cute against my tanned skin tone in the spring/summer, or even when I go to Florida late next month!

I'm also thinking about buying the new Naked 3 palette. Mainly because I'm getting so much better at using multiple colours in my eye tutorials now, I feel as though I'm ready for more. It's sort of an addiction!

Let me know which types of colours you prefer using in the different seasons! Check out my YouTube channel, and subscribe here!

How I Went From Bleached Blonde to Brunette (without the green tint)...

12:24 0 Comments

As many of you who watch my YouTube videos will know that I have recently gone from bleached blonde to brunette. it was a very hard decision for me to make, as I've been bleached blonde for 3 years and I absolutely loved being a blonde for those three years..

So why did I go brunette after loving it so much?

The first factor, was that my hair was getting a lot thinner from all of the bleaching, and my roots did not go blonde with just a toner or a regular hair dye. So bleach was my only option.
I also hated the fact that my hair was refusing to grow. I'd take hair skin and nail supplements and id constantly be putting on leave in conditioners in my hair overnight, but the breakage was still there and it wasn't going to budge until it was cut off. I'd been trying to grow my hair for a good 2 years after I got the beautiful Frankie cut (Frankie from The Saturdays asymmetrical cut) and it was just refusing to grow just below my chin.
Another reason, was that was hair was getting like straw and it was vile and was never shiny, no matter how much serum I would be putting in my hair. It was never going to go shiny and healthy, no matter how much products I would out in my hair in the hope of doing what it promised and to give me "healthier, stronger, Thicker looking hair". Nothing worked. And I tried a lot of stuff!
Some problems with my hair colour last year, and earlier this year, sort of gave me the inkling that I should definitely not keep bleaching my hair.
The first happened last year when my friend suggested me to buy some purple shampoo. This tones your hair so all of my brassiness and golden tones come out of your hair. Because my hair was so porous, my hair and my new micro ring hair extensions turned turquoise. Not impressed! I didn't know what to do, so texted my mum's hairdresser, and she suggested to keep washing with head and shoulders, tomato ketchup. After about 4 weeks, it all came out and I was happy as a hippo again :)
The other one happened this year on my holiday to America. I was having a shower after being in the swimming pool, and didn't want to get my hair wet. So, as anyone would do, I tied my hair up. The only problem was, I used a fluorescent pink hair band. How was I to know that if my hair got a little wet around the hair band, the colour would run into my hair and my hair extensions? Not the best idea.
Maybe I should have thought about going brunette sooner?

So what colour must you use to not get the green or orange colour?

I've read so many stories from many different places on the internet that you have to go to a professional otherwise your hair will turn out disgusting and vile!
I also heard that if you put a colour on that has reds in it, it will turn your hair orange and if you have ashy colours, it will turn your hair grey, and if you have natural colours, it will turn your hair green.
I also heard stories from so many different places that you MUST have a dye with red in it for it to work, and that you MUST have a natural colour and it will turn out the colour on the box.

I have to say, that I know the answers because I have tired it out myself, and after that, my mum's hairdresser told me I was completely correct.
The answer to the first statement is a complete lie. Of course it will look better if it's professionally done, but it will not look disgusting if you do it yourself. I refused to pay £30 for the hair dresser to put colour on my hair that's just going to fade after a few washes.

And the answers to the other statements?
You should definitely not get an ash colour. The reason? It will turn your hair grey or green! It doesn't matter which type of ash you get, or what colour it is on the box. It will not turn out that colour. It will go between different shades of grey.
You should definitely not get a natural shade of brown. Anything with the word "natural" in it. Be prepared for hair with a tint of green, or green hair.
You MUST get a colour with red or golden tones in it. Anything that says the word "golden" or "red" or "copper", or any other names for red, will not turn your hair orange.

The reason for this? Bleaching takes out all of the colour pigments in your hair. You're basically working on a blank canvas, so you must put back the colours that it has taken out. Adding red tones will help to add the pigments back in your hair for the colour to work.

What did I do?

because I knew about having to put red tones back into the hair, I made sure that I went out and bought a hair colour with a red tone.

My colour of choice?
Schwarzkopf Color Mask in colour 665 - Light Golden Brown.

I loved this hair colour. It looked beautiful, but with not too much gold. It was the perfect colour and because I have pale skin, a warm colour works best next to my skin. I knew as well, that the colour was going to go a lot darker on my hair because of the pigments, and I didn't want to get medium brown, is the case it would go very dark brown. I think I got in on sale for £4.50 from Boots.
I put on the dye, making sure I read the instructions carefully and fully. I mixed all of the pots together, and slapped it on my hair as if it was a hair mask you use to nourish your hair every week. It was strange because it was very thick and I'd never used a dye like this. The instructions say to leave it on for 25-35 minutes. So I left it on for 25 minutes, because it could go darker if I left it on for the full 35 minutes.

The Outcome

I absolutely loved the outcome of my hair. It was darker than on the box, but after a few washes, its faded to roughly the colour on the box, with what looks like a few blonde highlight! There is absolutely no green in my hair whatsoever. and I even dyed my bleached clip in hair extensions with this, and they haven't got a green tint either, just a lovely golden tone.

There are a few photos of before and after dying brunette, and there's also the video from my YouTube channel underneath so you can see the true outcome on video.
