Weekly Vlogs!

09:00 0 Comments
Hi Guys,

If you're subscribed to my Vlog Channel, you would have noticed that I have been a lot more active on it recently.

I really love vlogging my day-to-day life, and I thought it that it was a great little inside into my life. Obviously, I don't vlog on weekdays (I work full time on weekdays) as there would be no point at all. I've been vlogging one day every weekend, and I have been uploading my day.

I know that some of you who are subscribed to my Main Youtube Channel, like my vlogs, and some prefer my regular videos, so realised that the best thing was to create a vlog channel and upload my vlogs there. My vlogs from Florida will be uploaded on my Main Channel, as I know that quite a few of you are looking forward to seeing what I got up to there, and to see new things that you can do there too.

Fot the past two weeks, I have uploaded one vlog each week, and I'm hoping for it to become a regular thing.

Thank you all so much for your support on both of my channels! Keep subscribing and sharing, and before we know it, I'll be doing my 5,000 subscriber Giveaway! YAY!

My vlogs from the past two weeks are below.

Enjoy,
Chloe xoxo

NEW YEAR! NEW YEARLY FAVOURITES!

09:30 0 Comments

Hi guys,

It's finally a new year, and this year I thought that I would do my yearly favourites - which I also did last year. Almost all of these products are Holy Grail products of mine, and they are mostly drugstore!

I absolutely love the drugstore, especially when you can find products just as good, if not better, than he high end products. Now, don't get me wrong, I do love High End products, and have included lots in this video, but I just feel like the majority of my loves are super affordable.

There are many different categories which I have merged products into - Favourite Foundations, Favourite Mascaras, Favourite Primers etc. And in every category, there is at least one drugstore product, so it's great for you guys who don't want to splurge on products!

The video is above of my favourites, and be sure to subscribe to my channel, as I will be doing a giveaway at 2,000 subscribers (we're only 20 subscribers away...WOO HOO!)

Enjoy,

Holiday Party Makeup Tutorial!

12:54 0 Comments

Hi Guys,

Every year, I am obsessed with the Holidays - Christmas is my favourite time of the year - and I always like a good excuse to film a new makeup tutorial. I didn't manage to create a Holiday tutorial last year, but uploaded a Get Ready With Me for Boxing Day.

I decided to do two different looks for the Christmas Holiday Season, and the first being my bold eyes, nude lips look. This look isn't as easy as the other, but it looks GORGEOUS!

I haven't really touched my TheBalm Nudetude Palette (swatches here) in a long time, but recently tried it again, and have fallen back in love with it! I wanted to make the eyes the main focus, so decided to add a pink-nude lip (Kate Moss Nude Lipstick in 45), which is great for all skin tones.

Almost all of these products used are drugstore and affordable, and anyone on any budget will be able to recreate this.

The tutorial is below for this look, and the new tutorial for the next look, will
be up tomorrow.

Enjoy,
Chloe xoxo

VLOGMAS!!!

14:13 0 Comments

Hi Guys,

If you have been watching my channel for the last couple of weeks, you will know that I haven't taken part in Vlogmas. Well, that's all changed now!

I have finally uploaded a vlog for vlogmas - which I started in the 15th December. The reason? I have been working full time, including in December, but I have now broken up for christmas, and won't be back at work until January so I have so much more spare time on my hands! YAY!

Here, I have attached my first Day of Vlogmas, where I have a trip to Costco, a mini haul from Victoria's Secret, and explain why I've only just started Vlogmas now.

Enjoy,
Chloe xoxo

How To Find The Best Hair Extensions For Your Hair Type!

12:19 0 Comments
Hi Guys,

For the last couple of years, I have been getting lots and lots of comments from you lovely people all about Hair Extensions.

I have been uploading DIY Hair Extension Videos for the last two years, and I have answered so many of your questions in FAQ videos on my channel. A question that always keeps popping up on my videos, is about if a specific type of extension will be ok in specific types of hair.

I thought that it would just be easier for me to do a whole video on which extensions are the best for which hair type - obviously you don't have to go and have these specific extensions done. I thought this would be a great way to answer all of these questions, and to offer my own experience, my professional opinion (I'm a Qualified Hair Extension Stylist), and things that I had learnt when I was training in Hair Extensions.

I have had so much experience with extensions, and have tried the majority of extensions (I also have some reviews on my channel), and have a great idea of what worked and didn't work in my hair. Also, the positives and negatives of these extensions. The only extensions which I don't have a personal experience with are weaves - my hair is too thin for weaves.

If you have any more questions, which I haven't answered in this video - or in my other extension videos on my channel - just leave me a comment either here, or on my videos, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Enjoy,
Chloe xoxo

NYX is now in the UK!

01:30 0 Comments
Hi Guys,
If you are as obsessed as me with Makeup, and have been watching Youtube for a number of years, you will have seen so many Youtubers talking about NYX Cosmetics, and how great their products are!

If you live here in the UK, then you know how hard it was for us to get our hands on NYX (Amazon wanted atlas triple the price of the retail price).

I went online, doing a little bit of shopping, the other week, and came across NYX at Feelunique. I was so shocked and super excited to get my hands on some of these products - is that crazy? - but was disappointed when I found out that the majority of their items were sold out! Especially the ones which I wanted to purchase.

Skip ahead a couple of hours, and I'm searching for my favourite Dry Shampoo on Boots - Batiste in Dark Brunette, if you didn't already know  - and saw that they have recently just stocked NYX! Cue the childlike screams - and I managed to pick up everything I wanted for the same price, and none was Out Of Stock - Hooray!!

I picked up 3 products in total, but these are ones which I have been researching for a long time, so I knew straight away that I wanted them.

Check out everything that I purchased in my New Beauty Haul (below).

All of the NYX Products were purchased from www.boots.com.

Enjoy,

The BEST Clip-In Hair Extensions for Thin-Normal Hair?

11:05 0 Comments

Hi Guys,

I had a lot of questions from some of you when I posted this photo to instagram (below) about which Hair extensions I was wearing. As you will know, I have been obsessed with extensions for the last couple of years, and have tried pretty much every method out there.

As I am a Qualified Hair Extension Stylist, I know the things to look out for and I can tell if i don't like something about an set of extensions. I have been trying extensions for the last 3 years, and I think I have a pretty good idea if they will last.

The things I test with every lot of extensions is:

  • How do they react with heat? Are they really Human Hair Extensions?
  • Thickness?
  • Length?
  • How do they wash?
  • Is the colour correct?
  • Is the customer service good?
  • Price?

In this review, I look at all of these aspects in the hair extensions. This, I feel, can determine if the extensions are good, and if I would repurchase them.

I was sent these extensions for free from Uniwigs, but in no way does that mean that I was told to do a positive review. I would never recommend a product if I don't like it (of you have seen my last Uniwigs review, you will know how true this is).
The reason I have not worn these in any video, is because I don't want to show a product off, if I don't know if it's worth the money.

The extensions I am wearing in this video:  http://goo.gl/tWpzcR .

I also have a coupon code for Uniwigs - 'chloe10' for 10% off of your entire purchase.

First Impression on Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge!

05:16 0 Comments

Hey guys,
So I've recently decided to purchase the Real techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, for the main reason that my Real Techniques Buffing Brush has decided it wants to shed its bristles all over my face.
I've had the brush for only a few months, and it seems to be that whenever I try to use it, I end up having 50-odd bristles all over my face, which makes it impossible to get smooth skin. Every time I do a few buffing motions, I'd have to take my tweezers and remove all of the horrible bristles stuck to my face, and then reuse the brush to buff everything back into place. Completely useless and time wasting!

I chose the sponge because I'm getting more into thick coverage foundations now that it's becoming autumn and winter, and heard that using a sponge makes it easier and gives much better coverage.
I've heard so much about the Beauty Blender, but at £16, really did not want to spend all of that money on a sponge. So, I found the next best thing!
The Real Techniques sponge is supposed to be an amazing dupe for the Beauty Blender, and at £5.99, it's less than half the price! I purchased mine from my local Boots drugstore, but you can pretty much purchase it in every drugstore in the UK and the US.
Above is my first impression on the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. And the foundation that I'm using is the Rimmel Clean Finish foundation, which is a pretty thick consistency.

Thanks for watching and please subscribe to my YouTube channel here :)

New Products I'm Testing Out For My Acne!

03:03 0 Comments

Hey guys,
As you will know, if you watch my videos, I have been suffering from acne since I was 16. I managed to get it near enough cleared up a few years ago, and then started using Proactiv to keep it at bay.
Now, because I have sensitive skin, the proactive was not the best product for me to use. It started to work for the first year, and because I couldn't use it twice a day which it suggested (because of my sensitive skin) it started to come back, and my face was getting very irritated. And the last few months of me using the product, my acne started to come back a lot worse.
I've been fed up of using many different products to try to get rid of my Acne, and so many of them have worked, and then they stopped working. So this time, I decided to use a product from the brand Clinique. I went to my local Boots Store, and spoke to the lady about my acne. She said the Anti-Blemish 3 Step Solutions was a great product to use and this was great for sensitive skin, it wouldn't irritate me, and the moisturiser won't dry my skin out.
So, I decided to go and purchase this in my hopes it would make my skin nice and clear.
I've been documenting every week of me using this system. I've so far edited  2 updates and a video on how my skin looked before using it. Check them out above, and let me know if you think it's working! I'm doing a new update every week on how my skin looks, and f it's made any difference.

NEW Rimmel 'Kate Moss' Idol Eyes Collection!

10:20 0 Comments

Hey guys,
So I tried and tested out some brand new products from the Rimmel Kate Collection, after I saw these on offer and on a stand at my local Boots Drugstore. I was intrigued to find out how they were, as I heard many good things about the 'Kate Moss' Lipstick, so thought these would be amazing to try out!

The new 'Idol Eyes' Collection is created by Kate Moss with Rimmel, and are all shades which she would wear herself, and products that she would also love to use on a day to day basis. All colours from each 3 of the products I tried out, are all available in gem tone colours.
The first product I tried out, was the Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Stick by Kate. The next, Rimmel Scandaleyes 24hr Gel Liner. And the last, was the Rimmel Kate Rockin Curves Mascara.
The Shadow Stick is available in the shades 'Rose Gold', 'Deep Amethyst', 'Electric Sapphire' and 'Pure Turquoise'. The Gel Liner is available in the shades 'Black', 'Brown' and 'Emerald'. And the Mascara is available in shades 'Jet Black', 'Sapphire', 'Amethyst' and 'Emerald'.

I was very excited to try out the Gel liner, as my last one had decided to dry up, and felt like I needed a new one. I saw that this one was on offer, and new, so thought it would be a great opportunity to try out for you guys too. Gel liners are my favourite at the moment, and they're the only ones that seem to be good with my sensitive eyes. As I work odd hours, and still do things after and before work, I felt like I wanted a liner that would stay put all day. I was so tired of my Maybelline Gel Liner fading after a few hours, and then I would have to reapply. So I had very high hopes for this gel liner, as it stated it was 24hr, and also came with a precision brush. Two things for the price of 1! :)

After testing out each of these products for First Impressions Friday (F.I.F), I also uploaded a June Update (Top) . This was an update on how I felt about each individual product from the collection after using for several days and weeks. Click the videos to check out each review.

Hair Extensions Video Segment Video 2!

04:45 0 Comments
VIDEO 2: DIY: HOW TO INSTALL NANO RING AND MICRO RING HAIR EXTENSIONS

So, as you guys know from my YouTube channel, I have a lot of videos to do with hair extensions. I am obsessed! I also wrote a blog post a few months ago stating that I am doing a new video segment on Nano Ring Hair Extensions.
There are 3 parts to my Hair Extensions Segment - parts 1 and 2 are already uploaded. I uploaded video 2 a few months ago, but completely forgot to blog about it until now. There aren't many videos on YouTube about Nano ring hair extensions, so felt that this would be a great and easy way to share some more information for all you guys who wants to try these, or a new method of hair extensions.
Part 2 is all about how to install these extensions. This is the DIY way, and I installed these on myself with no help. You can't see in the video that I actually have a mirror behind me and in front, so I can see the back of my head a lot easier, so I can install them. '
If you have any questions on where I bought these extensions or any of the tools, all links will be in the information box of the video on YouTube.

I hope this video helps all of you out, and you enjoy!

I have Videos 1 and 2 below. Please check out and subscribe to my YouTube channel here!

Back From Florida & New Video!

05:02 0 Comments
Hey guys,
So as you may know, I've been on holiday to Florida for just over 2 weeks at the end of February, which is why my account was a little inactive and I didn't upload for the whole time I was in Florida. I'm very sorry about this, mainly it was to do with the Wi-Fi in the villa I was staying at, which wasn't good at all and I couldn't watch videos, upload videos or reply to your comments. But now that I'm back, I've finally had chance to do all of that.
Yesterday, I managed to upload a new video, which shows all of the items which I bought on my holiday (well the things I haven't used up anyway). I've also finally managed to reply to all of your comments also. I didn't realise I had so many comments within my 2 weeks away, and I'm so happy for all of the positive comments you've given me! Thank you all so much!
Because of me being away, I also haven't managed to upload new First Impressions Friday videos as well, which I promised I would do every Friday. but I can promise that I have a new F.I.F to come this Friday coming. so keep your eyes peeled for that! and thank you for being so patient with me! :)

Hope you enjoy the video and make sure that you subscribe to my channel here!

New Hair Extension Video Segments!

07:42 0 Comments
So, as you all may know from my YouTube channel, I am obsessed with hair extensions, and have tried many different techniques. I've finally managed to find a technique that I am completely and fully happy with, and that is Nano Ring Hair Extensions. I know a lot about these, and I do them myself in my hair, so thought I'd share everything with you that I do and know. That is why I've decided to do a new 3 part segment on my channel about Nano Rings!
The first video, is going to be about How To Dye the Nano Ring Extensions, if they are slightly wrong, or completely wrong. Now, I'm not saying that I know everything and that I'm a professional, because I don't and I'm not, this is just the way that I do them myself and they work out great! In this video, I show you the technique on what I do, and I show you all products that I use. (Below is this video).
The second video is How To Install Nano Ring Hair Extensions. A lot of you have asked me about how to install these extensions, so thought I would do a video showing you the technique and the process of myself doing these on my own hair. I have done a previous brief video on how to install Micro ring & Micro loop extensions so you can check that out if you like below.
The third video is going to be How To Care For Nano Ring Extensions. This is going to be all of the products I use, all of the hints and tips I have and how to wash them without them falling out or being ripped out.
This is my favourite type of extension (and I've tried a lot!) so tried to find even more information than I already knew so you guys can get the best possible extensions and tips that you can get!

I hope you enjoy these videos and let me know your feedback.

Beauty Products I Won't Be Repurchasing!

10:42 0 Comments
Recently, I've been trying to find the perfect products for my skin and for my hair.
I have sensitive, dry, acne-prone, pale skin, I find it hard to find any foundation and creams which suit my skin. My hair is dry, damaged and thin from all of the bleaching I used to do my hair, so find it hard to find products which completely nourish my hair to leave it soft and silky. I also don't have very long eyelashes, so its difficult to find a mascara which lengthens and volumizes them to how I like them. So, as you can imagine, there are a lot of products I go through to try to find the perfect ones for me, and it's quite a bit of a challenge.
I know that a lot of you don't want to keep spending money on products which do not live up to their promises on the packaging, (and I have a lot of those!) so I thought id do a video for all of you showing the products which I have bought, and have not lived up to what they say they do. This way, I hope it helps you all into not buying products which don't actually work! Or maybe you've bought these products, and they've actually worked for you. In that case, I'm glad that they worked for someone :)
I've managed to find some products which I feel should be in the list of the 'Products I Wont Be Repurchasing', so here you go and enjoy!

First Youtube Make-up Tutorial! (New Years Eve)

07:59 0 Comments
Since I've bought some new make-up palettes, I've been doing a lot of different looks with my eyes. So when it came to New Years Eve, I thought I'd try one out to show you all in a tutorial.
The look for new years eve was bold lips and rose gold eyes. For this, I used some great drugstore make-up from brands such as Benefit, Rimmel, MUA, Eylure, Eyeko and Soap & Glory!

This is my completed look from my instagram (sorry the eye shadow isn't that clear)

To have a look at how you can do this tutorial yourself, here's the video! To have a look at my channel and to subscribe, click here!

Eylure Individual Eyelashes...

04:02 0 Comments
As most of you know, I wear eyelashes almost everyday, and I'll try any that you recommend to me.
I'm in love with Eylure lashes, they're my favourite, and I was super excited when someone recommended using Eylure Individucal Eyelashes. I've always wanted individual lashes doing, because I'm sick of sometimes having part of my eyelash unstuck throughout the day, but didn't want to pay over £100 to have them done. Also, I'm going to America next month, and don't want to have to bother applying false lashes everyday!
I picked these up in Savers for only £1.99, as opposed to Boots which are £5.99. They only had the brown coloured ones, but as my lashes are brown anyway, I thought I'd try them out!

What do they say?

'Longer, fuller, natural looking lashes'
'Semi Permanent'
'Quick and easy to apply'
'Up to 4 weeks wear'

How do you do them?

The instructions included in the package say that you must clean your lashes with an oil free cleanser before you start. You must also use tweezers to apply. They also say that you must put the glue on tin foil (apparently it's easier to see the glue and it's less messy).

Firstly, I took off all make-up with my 'Simple Make-up remover', which is oil free, and cleaned my lashes twice using this. I then used my 'Proactiv Toner' to make sure everything was off and to cleanse my lashes.

I then started applying each individual eyelash (with my tweezers), starting from the inside, to the outside. I did try the whole glue on the tin foil thing, but it just didn't work out and was much easier for me to hold the stick of the glue, and rub the eyelash onto it. Then you don't waste any glue at all.

I used the medium lashes for the outside and for the last 3/4 of the eye. I then used the short for the inside of the eye and mixed them with the medium sized towards the middle of the eye so it blended in a lot better.

I still had a good 7 or 8 left over, so did not use all of them. The only thing is, a few of them would not pull out of the packaging and I ended up breaking 1 or 2 because of this.

 Results!

I really love these eyelashes. They look super natural but also give me a lot of length. As you can see from the before and after photos, there is a great difference between them. Plus, the brown ones are pretty dark, not extremely light which I was thinking. But I'm super happy with my results. a negative they I do have, is that on one of my eyelashes, there were purple strands on it which I thought was pretty bad. But the colour goes away with some mascara on those little lashes.

How I Went From Bleached Blonde to Brunette (without the green tint)...

12:24 0 Comments

As many of you who watch my YouTube videos will know that I have recently gone from bleached blonde to brunette. it was a very hard decision for me to make, as I've been bleached blonde for 3 years and I absolutely loved being a blonde for those three years..

So why did I go brunette after loving it so much?

The first factor, was that my hair was getting a lot thinner from all of the bleaching, and my roots did not go blonde with just a toner or a regular hair dye. So bleach was my only option.
I also hated the fact that my hair was refusing to grow. I'd take hair skin and nail supplements and id constantly be putting on leave in conditioners in my hair overnight, but the breakage was still there and it wasn't going to budge until it was cut off. I'd been trying to grow my hair for a good 2 years after I got the beautiful Frankie cut (Frankie from The Saturdays asymmetrical cut) and it was just refusing to grow just below my chin.
Another reason, was that was hair was getting like straw and it was vile and was never shiny, no matter how much serum I would be putting in my hair. It was never going to go shiny and healthy, no matter how much products I would out in my hair in the hope of doing what it promised and to give me "healthier, stronger, Thicker looking hair". Nothing worked. And I tried a lot of stuff!
Some problems with my hair colour last year, and earlier this year, sort of gave me the inkling that I should definitely not keep bleaching my hair.
The first happened last year when my friend suggested me to buy some purple shampoo. This tones your hair so all of my brassiness and golden tones come out of your hair. Because my hair was so porous, my hair and my new micro ring hair extensions turned turquoise. Not impressed! I didn't know what to do, so texted my mum's hairdresser, and she suggested to keep washing with head and shoulders, tomato ketchup. After about 4 weeks, it all came out and I was happy as a hippo again :)
The other one happened this year on my holiday to America. I was having a shower after being in the swimming pool, and didn't want to get my hair wet. So, as anyone would do, I tied my hair up. The only problem was, I used a fluorescent pink hair band. How was I to know that if my hair got a little wet around the hair band, the colour would run into my hair and my hair extensions? Not the best idea.
Maybe I should have thought about going brunette sooner?

So what colour must you use to not get the green or orange colour?

I've read so many stories from many different places on the internet that you have to go to a professional otherwise your hair will turn out disgusting and vile!
I also heard that if you put a colour on that has reds in it, it will turn your hair orange and if you have ashy colours, it will turn your hair grey, and if you have natural colours, it will turn your hair green.
I also heard stories from so many different places that you MUST have a dye with red in it for it to work, and that you MUST have a natural colour and it will turn out the colour on the box.

I have to say, that I know the answers because I have tired it out myself, and after that, my mum's hairdresser told me I was completely correct.
The answer to the first statement is a complete lie. Of course it will look better if it's professionally done, but it will not look disgusting if you do it yourself. I refused to pay £30 for the hair dresser to put colour on my hair that's just going to fade after a few washes.

And the answers to the other statements?
You should definitely not get an ash colour. The reason? It will turn your hair grey or green! It doesn't matter which type of ash you get, or what colour it is on the box. It will not turn out that colour. It will go between different shades of grey.
You should definitely not get a natural shade of brown. Anything with the word "natural" in it. Be prepared for hair with a tint of green, or green hair.
You MUST get a colour with red or golden tones in it. Anything that says the word "golden" or "red" or "copper", or any other names for red, will not turn your hair orange.

The reason for this? Bleaching takes out all of the colour pigments in your hair. You're basically working on a blank canvas, so you must put back the colours that it has taken out. Adding red tones will help to add the pigments back in your hair for the colour to work.

What did I do?

because I knew about having to put red tones back into the hair, I made sure that I went out and bought a hair colour with a red tone.

My colour of choice?
Schwarzkopf Color Mask in colour 665 - Light Golden Brown.

I loved this hair colour. It looked beautiful, but with not too much gold. It was the perfect colour and because I have pale skin, a warm colour works best next to my skin. I knew as well, that the colour was going to go a lot darker on my hair because of the pigments, and I didn't want to get medium brown, is the case it would go very dark brown. I think I got in on sale for £4.50 from Boots.
I put on the dye, making sure I read the instructions carefully and fully. I mixed all of the pots together, and slapped it on my hair as if it was a hair mask you use to nourish your hair every week. It was strange because it was very thick and I'd never used a dye like this. The instructions say to leave it on for 25-35 minutes. So I left it on for 25 minutes, because it could go darker if I left it on for the full 35 minutes.

The Outcome

I absolutely loved the outcome of my hair. It was darker than on the box, but after a few washes, its faded to roughly the colour on the box, with what looks like a few blonde highlight! There is absolutely no green in my hair whatsoever. and I even dyed my bleached clip in hair extensions with this, and they haven't got a green tint either, just a lovely golden tone.

There are a few photos of before and after dying brunette, and there's also the video from my YouTube channel underneath so you can see the true outcome on video.
