First Impressions Friday!

06:56 0 Comments
I love doing reviews but I knew that I did a lack of review videos, and I just always try different products. So I wondered, what about sharing my First Impression of these products with everyone.
I've seen a lot of videos of reviewers using Fridays as their designated day for doing these review so decide I would hop on the band wagon and do Fridays as my first impressions days. There are so many new products I would love to try out, and if I didn't like them, I could always return them back to the store, or give them to some friends or family members who would actually like them if I didn't. Obviously I would give other people my mascaras or pencil eyeliners, they could get an infection!
I decided just after Christmas I would do these videos, so my subscribers could easily know that I was doing a new review every Friday of new products.
I received a Soap & Glory Thick and Fast mascara for Christmas, so decided that was to be my first video. I then saw a new foundation in my local drugstore so decided to try that out too! (it said that it was full coverage and I needed a full coverage foundation really bad.
So here are my first two first impressions videos. See if I liked them or didn't.

Enjoy,
Chloe :)

First Youtube Make-up Tutorial! (New Years Eve)

07:59 0 Comments
Since I've bought some new make-up palettes, I've been doing a lot of different looks with my eyes. So when it came to New Years Eve, I thought I'd try one out to show you all in a tutorial.
The look for new years eve was bold lips and rose gold eyes. For this, I used some great drugstore make-up from brands such as Benefit, Rimmel, MUA, Eylure, Eyeko and Soap & Glory!

This is my completed look from my instagram (sorry the eye shadow isn't that clear)

Make-up Palettes!

07:48 0 Comments
Since I've started taking notice of my make-up and eye shadow recently, I've started buying eye shadow palettes. I have never just gone out and bought an eye shadow palette before, because I just didn't see the point of using eye shadow.

I just thought it was something that I didn't need to use. That was until I started watching more and more YouTube tutorials on make-up and from where I saw how some YouTube gurus look absolutely perfect from the way they do their eye shadow. Who would have thought that a little bit of contouring and eye shadow could make such a difference.

The you tubers I am talking about are ones like Casey Holmes and Tanya Burr. Since being a subscriber to their channels, I've noticed how beautiful you can make your make-up. There really is an art to it. Who knew that you could make your eyebrows the focus by highlighting them? Not me!

Because of this, I recently went out a few weeks ago and purchased two eye shadow palettes that I've heard so many people rave about. These palettes are the MUA eye shadow palettes "Undressed" and "Undress me Too". So many people have said how they are amazing dupes for the Urban Decay Naked Palettes. So thought I'd buy them. They are only £4 each, so this was pretty great.

So far, I'm having a lot of fun with these palettes. Although I must say, I'm liking the "Undressed" palette more than the other. Only because I much prefer using Rose Gold colours in the winter, because they look super beautiful against my pale skin tone. But the Golds in the other palette would look so cute against my tanned skin tone in the spring/summer, or even when I go to Florida late next month!

I'm also thinking about buying the new Naked 3 palette. Mainly because I'm getting so much better at using multiple colours in my eye tutorials now, I feel as though I'm ready for more. It's sort of an addiction!

Let me know which types of colours you prefer using in the different seasons! Check out my YouTube channel, and subscribe here!

Eylure Individual Eyelashes...

04:02 0 Comments
As most of you know, I wear eyelashes almost everyday, and I'll try any that you recommend to me.
I'm in love with Eylure lashes, they're my favourite, and I was super excited when someone recommended using Eylure Individucal Eyelashes. I've always wanted individual lashes doing, because I'm sick of sometimes having part of my eyelash unstuck throughout the day, but didn't want to pay over £100 to have them done. Also, I'm going to America next month, and don't want to have to bother applying false lashes everyday!
I picked these up in Savers for only £1.99, as opposed to Boots which are £5.99. They only had the brown coloured ones, but as my lashes are brown anyway, I thought I'd try them out!

What do they say?

'Longer, fuller, natural looking lashes'
'Semi Permanent'
'Quick and easy to apply'
'Up to 4 weeks wear'

How do you do them?

The instructions included in the package say that you must clean your lashes with an oil free cleanser before you start. You must also use tweezers to apply. They also say that you must put the glue on tin foil (apparently it's easier to see the glue and it's less messy).

Firstly, I took off all make-up with my 'Simple Make-up remover', which is oil free, and cleaned my lashes twice using this. I then used my 'Proactiv Toner' to make sure everything was off and to cleanse my lashes.

I then started applying each individual eyelash (with my tweezers), starting from the inside, to the outside. I did try the whole glue on the tin foil thing, but it just didn't work out and was much easier for me to hold the stick of the glue, and rub the eyelash onto it. Then you don't waste any glue at all.

I used the medium lashes for the outside and for the last 3/4 of the eye. I then used the short for the inside of the eye and mixed them with the medium sized towards the middle of the eye so it blended in a lot better.

I still had a good 7 or 8 left over, so did not use all of them. The only thing is, a few of them would not pull out of the packaging and I ended up breaking 1 or 2 because of this.

 Results!

I really love these eyelashes. They look super natural but also give me a lot of length. As you can see from the before and after photos, there is a great difference between them. Plus, the brown ones are pretty dark, not extremely light which I was thinking. But I'm super happy with my results. a negative they I do have, is that on one of my eyelashes, there were purple strands on it which I thought was pretty bad. But the colour goes away with some mascara on those little lashes.
