Sephora Disney's Ariel Part Of Your World Palette Swatches & Review!

11:47 0 Comments

Hi Guys,
A little while ago, you would have remembered that I recently showed some new palettes in my Huge Collective Haul on my channel (video above). I promised some swatches, and I've already swatched theBalm Nude'tude Palette, and I've now swatched the Disney Sephora Ariel Palette.

Here are all of the swatches, and a little bit of information about each of the colours. I purchased this from a website called Rose's Beauty Store. Basically, they sell products that are most requested, which are only normally available in the US. I managed to pick up this palette for £22.99 on sale from the store! I knew from the moment that I saw this palette on the site, I had to buy it. I'm obsessed with Disney, and The Little Mermaid and Ariel are my favourite movie and character!

First thing, the packaging is absolutely gorgeous! Even the cardboard packaging is amazing and pretty much makes the palette look as though it was found amongst Ariel's treasures! I absolutely love it! The back of the packaging also tells you the colours that are included, and the names of each, with a mini sort of swatch of the colour in a little shell shaped circle. This way, it makes it easy for you to be able to tell which shadows are in the palette, without having to open it up.

The palette comes in a cream coloured plastic case, which has a beautiful design printed on the from. This isn't the sort of design where its just a sticker on the front. This is a 3D print on the front. Meaning that you can see all of the ridges of the case, and you can not simply scrape this off. Its a design that is featured on the front cover on the newest Special Edition of the Movie, which makes it more special. Adding the pops of silver on the case, makes it look more luxurious.

When you open the case up, you come across the compact mirror, and the vibrant colour on the bottom two shadows. There is a quote on the mirror 'Dreams are realities in waiting', which is a line featured in The Little Mermaid, said by Sebastian.

There are 4 colours in the palette (which all have names related to the movie) - Who's-it?, what's-it?, Dinglehopper, Snarfblat.
Who's-it? - Is a shimmery white colour, which is great for a highlight.
What's-it? - Is the only almost matte shade in the palette. It's a light brown matte shadow. Great for a transition shade!
Dinglehopper - Is a shimmery light green shade. It's more green than aqua, but reminds me of Ariel's tail.
Snarfblat - Is a gorgeous bright purple shade, with large flecks of shimmer. This shade reminds me of Ariel's top.
Swatches - (L-R) Who's-it?, What's-it?, Dinglehopper, Snarfblat
When I opened the case, it was super excited and couldn't wait to do swatches of the shades. I have to say, I was a little disappointed in the pigmentation of the swatches. A thing that I really liked, was that you could see shimmer in all shades - shimmer shades are my favourite shadows. There was even a slight shimmer in the matte shade.

I was extremely happy with the swatches from Who's-it? and Snarfblat. These were very highly pigmented, and showed up amazingly. It didn't bother me with the amount and the sizes of shimmer in Snarfblat. I just think it made it beautiful.

My least favourite were What's-it? and Dinglehopper. The swatches were not very good at all. What's-it? didn't show up on my skin as well as I would have hoped, but in real life, it did look a little more pigmented. Dinglehopper, I'm not a fan of. I was super excited to see this shade, as I don't own a green shade eye shadow, and thought this would be great for a Mermaid Style Make-up. The swatch was not good. This swatch was with me building up the colour 3 times. Not very pigmented, and not a very good shade if you want bold colour.

Overall, I do like this palette. I did feel like the pigmentation would have been a lot better than it was. As been as its my most expensive palette I have purchased, I thought the product would be great! I like half of the shades, and would probably wear them the majority of the time. I do think the pigmented shades are absolutely gorgeous, and I do feel like I could make the other 2 work out good with a little practice. I also think the packaging is gorgeous, and much better quality than other palettes I have purchased.

However, I don't think the palette is worth the price. It retailed for $30 in the US, so it's pretty much a high end product. It didn't feel like a high end product. it just really felt like you pay the price for the packaging. It's a little disappointing when I think the pigmentation was so much higher in my theBalm Nude'tude palette, and even my MUA palettes which cost £4 are more pigmented than What's-it? and Dinglehopper.

I suggest that if you are a big Disney and The Little Mermaid fan, then give it a go. But if you're not, I wouldn't recommend it, as you would be disappointed.

Creepy Cat Halloween Make-up Tutorial!

03:39 0 Comments

Hi guys,
For Halloween, I was unsure of what I wanted to dress as. I also knew that I really wanted to create my first make-up tutorial for Halloween. I had a little think, and took my inspiration from one of my favourite movies - Alice In Wonderland. I also knew that I wanted to use affordable products, as like me, not a lot of you can afford to purchase expensive products - especially for only one night.
I managed to find a few products in my make-up storage, and also purchased some very affordable face paints to create the look. Also, as I am very prone to acne, I wanted an alternative for the face base than just face paint for those of you like me.
I created the look as a trial first, and uploaded a photo to my instagram and my facebook pages, and was overwhelmed by people saying how much they wanted a tutorial and how much they loved it! The next day, I filmed my tutorial, and was pretty happy with the outcome! Even my work colleagues were giving me amazing compliments on it!
So here is my complete make-up tutorial (above), and here is the list of the products which I used.
  • Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge
  • Rimmel Match Perfection in Light Porcelain
  • Snazaroo Face Paint in Black & White
  • Rimmel Soft Kohl Pencil in Black
  • Snazaroo face Paint Brushes
  • Bourjois Lady in Black Eyelashes
  • Technic Electric Palette (dupe for the Urban Decay Electric Palette for £1.99)

Enjoy!

theBalm Nudetude Eyeshadow Palette Swatches & Review!

10:13 0 Comments

Hey guys,

I said in one of my recent videos that I would do some swatches on my new palette's which I showed in my Huge Collective Haul (above).

Here are the swatches for The Balm Nudetude Palette. I recently purchased this palette from www.feelunique.com when they recently had a sale, and I believe it cost me just under £20.

I fell in love with the palette when I recently watched a video 'Bought It, Forgot It' by Casey Holmes from last Christmas. She also did an eye shadow tutorial using the palette which I thought was absolutely gorgeous so I decided to pick it up.

The pigmentation is incredible and I haven't had a problem with fall out. They also are very long lasting, and normally last from 10am and are still very noticeable at 10pm! I love the colours and I'm using it pretty much everyday!
All swatches are used without a primer.

Here is where I purchased the palette: http://www.feelunique.com/p/theBalm-Nude-Tude-Eyeshadow-Palette-Naughty-1108g

First Impression on Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge!

05:16 0 Comments

Hey guys,
So I've recently decided to purchase the Real techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, for the main reason that my Real Techniques Buffing Brush has decided it wants to shed its bristles all over my face.
I've had the brush for only a few months, and it seems to be that whenever I try to use it, I end up having 50-odd bristles all over my face, which makes it impossible to get smooth skin. Every time I do a few buffing motions, I'd have to take my tweezers and remove all of the horrible bristles stuck to my face, and then reuse the brush to buff everything back into place. Completely useless and time wasting!

I chose the sponge because I'm getting more into thick coverage foundations now that it's becoming autumn and winter, and heard that using a sponge makes it easier and gives much better coverage.
I've heard so much about the Beauty Blender, but at £16, really did not want to spend all of that money on a sponge. So, I found the next best thing!
The Real Techniques sponge is supposed to be an amazing dupe for the Beauty Blender, and at £5.99, it's less than half the price! I purchased mine from my local Boots drugstore, but you can pretty much purchase it in every drugstore in the UK and the US.
Above is my first impression on the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. And the foundation that I'm using is the Rimmel Clean Finish foundation, which is a pretty thick consistency.

New Products I'm Testing Out For My Acne!

03:03 0 Comments

Hey guys,
As you will know, if you watch my videos, I have been suffering from acne since I was 16. I managed to get it near enough cleared up a few years ago, and then started using Proactiv to keep it at bay.
Now, because I have sensitive skin, the proactive was not the best product for me to use. It started to work for the first year, and because I couldn't use it twice a day which it suggested (because of my sensitive skin) it started to come back, and my face was getting very irritated. And the last few months of me using the product, my acne started to come back a lot worse.
I've been fed up of using many different products to try to get rid of my Acne, and so many of them have worked, and then they stopped working. So this time, I decided to use a product from the brand Clinique. I went to my local Boots Store, and spoke to the lady about my acne. She said the Anti-Blemish 3 Step Solutions was a great product to use and this was great for sensitive skin, it wouldn't irritate me, and the moisturiser won't dry my skin out.
So, I decided to go and purchase this in my hopes it would make my skin nice and clear.
I've been documenting every week of me using this system. I've so far edited  2 updates and a video on how my skin looked before using it. Check them out above, and let me know if you think it's working! I'm doing a new update every week on how my skin looks, and f it's made any difference.

June Favourites 2014!

03:07 0 Comments

Hey guys,
So I know that a lot of you like to see some favourite products. If you're like me, you don't want to buy products that in the end turn out crap, and then you've wasted your money. I thought I would show you guys my recommendations, and products that work for myself.
I don't really do monthly favourites every month, because I use the majority of the same products every month anyway.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Here is a little video to show you guys my favourite products of June. The majority of them are hair and beauty (with the added favourite movie & TV Show of June), so here you go, and make sure to tell me if you've tried these products and if you like them or not.

Amazing Urban Decay Naked Palette & Naked 2 Palette Dupes! + Other Drugstore Dupes

11:00 0 Comments

Hey guys,
So I am like the majority of people my age and younger, who don't wish to splash out a lot of money for make-up products. My reasoning, is that I feel as though I can find and buy a dupe which is near enough the same, for a lot cheaper. I literally get through eye shadow palettes, foundations and concealers very quickly, so I don't really want to spend, say £40 every 2-3 months on repurchasing a new product.
I've noticed that for a long time, Urban Decay Naked palettes have been all the crze, with people praising them, and saying how pigmented they were, but I don't like the £37 price tag which is attached to them. I've managed to find myself near enough exact dupes of both the Naked 1 and the Naked 2 Palettes and here are some swatches below.
If you watch my video above, you will see that I have many more amazing dupes of high end products.
The dupes for high end products that I have found and shown in my video (not including UD naked Palettes are:
  • Bioderma Micellar Water (the dupe saving £13)
  • Benefit High Beam (the dupe costing 1/10th of the price)
  • Bio Oil (the dupe costing 1/3rd)
  • Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer (the dupe only £3.50)
So, back onto the Naked palette dupes, here are my swatches and reviews.

For the Original Naked Palette, which costs £37, I have found an amazing near-exact dupe which costs only £4. That's an incredible £33 cheaper, and you could buy 9 of these palettes for the price of 1 Naked Palette.
The product is called Undress Palette by MUA. These are sold only in Superdrug Stores and on the MUA website. For £4, I wasn't expecting a lot, and assumed they would be an OK alternative.

After I swatched these, I was amazed at how pigmented the were! I have used up a few of the colours, and I've hit pan on the majority (as you will see in the photos below). I'm sorry I don't have the Urban Decay swatches to show it against, but the colours are near enough the same, and the pigmentation is very high. I would say though, that the matte shades don't show up very good at all, but are great transitions shades. As you can tell on the photos, I've used up the majority of the colours, but at least you can tell that they're always used!
Also, you will see that the lighter shades don't show much on my skin, because I have incredibly pale skin, and all swatches are taken in natural light.

Shades 1-6
Shades 7-12
So, as you can see on the swatches, they're very highly pigmented (other than the matte shades) and they do have a lot of. It's just enough to not look like a disco ball and for it to be wearable every day.
Again, I'm sorry I don't own the Naked palette, so the photos are taken in 2 different environments (the UD taken in studio lighting, and MUA in Natural lighting), but I feel as though you can tell that they are incredibly similar.

The dupe that I have found for the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette, is also from MUA. This palette is called the Undress Me Too Palette. you can definitely see that they tried to make a dupe, as both of the names are very similar and are play off words from the Naked Palettes.
Again, all of these photos are taken in natural light, and the shadows are very highly pigmented (other than the matte shades). Some of the light shades may not be as clear, but this is because I have used them nearly all the way up, so you can tell that they're loved and are always worn. I'm also sorry about how messy the palette is, the colours get a bit everywhere, and the packaging has been basically everywhere with me, so doesn't look its best.
Here are the swatches and palette comparisons.

 Shades 1-6
 Shades 7-12
So, as you can see with these swatches, the black looks very chalky and the matte colour doesn't tend to show up as well as the shimmer shades.

I'm very impressed with how well these colours stay on throughout the day, especially for only £4. Even without  primer, they stay on for a good 8 hours, and with a primer, they stay on all day. There's very minimal fall out when you are applying them, and they don't look chalky whatsoever when they are used.
There are a few shades from the palettes which I don't use, and don't feel like I would use, and that's shades 11-12 in Undressed Palette, and Shade 12 from the Undress Me Too palette. The reason for this, is that I don't really use dark eye shadow on my eyes. I only use black eyeliner, but I like my eye shadow to look lighter, and I don't feel that dark shades suit my face and my personality.
You may not be able to tell by the photos of the palettes that I took in natural light that they are complete dupes, so take a look online so you can see the studio photos, and you'll see that they're very very similar.
I love using these palettes so much that I have used them in multiply make-up tutorials on my YouTube channel, and I'm impressed at how long they have lasted me too. I bought these both before new year 2014, and its now July 2014, and they're still going strong (other than a few colours).
I definitely recommend that you try out these shadows. you wont be disappointed and you will be pleasantly surprised. If you'd like to try these before going the whole hog and spending £37 on the Urban Decay palettes, then go ahead and save yourself £33.

I hope you enjoyed this post guys,

NEW Rimmel 'Kate Moss' Idol Eyes Collection!

10:20 0 Comments

Hey guys,
So I tried and tested out some brand new products from the Rimmel Kate Collection, after I saw these on offer and on a stand at my local Boots Drugstore. I was intrigued to find out how they were, as I heard many good things about the 'Kate Moss' Lipstick, so thought these would be amazing to try out!

The new 'Idol Eyes' Collection is created by Kate Moss with Rimmel, and are all shades which she would wear herself, and products that she would also love to use on a day to day basis. All colours from each 3 of the products I tried out, are all available in gem tone colours.
The first product I tried out, was the Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Stick by Kate. The next, Rimmel Scandaleyes 24hr Gel Liner. And the last, was the Rimmel Kate Rockin Curves Mascara.
The Shadow Stick is available in the shades 'Rose Gold', 'Deep Amethyst', 'Electric Sapphire' and 'Pure Turquoise'. The Gel Liner is available in the shades 'Black', 'Brown' and 'Emerald'. And the Mascara is available in shades 'Jet Black', 'Sapphire', 'Amethyst' and 'Emerald'.

I was very excited to try out the Gel liner, as my last one had decided to dry up, and felt like I needed a new one. I saw that this one was on offer, and new, so thought it would be a great opportunity to try out for you guys too. Gel liners are my favourite at the moment, and they're the only ones that seem to be good with my sensitive eyes. As I work odd hours, and still do things after and before work, I felt like I wanted a liner that would stay put all day. I was so tired of my Maybelline Gel Liner fading after a few hours, and then I would have to reapply. So I had very high hopes for this gel liner, as it stated it was 24hr, and also came with a precision brush. Two things for the price of 1! :)

After testing out each of these products for First Impressions Friday (F.I.F), I also uploaded a June Update (Top) . This was an update on how I felt about each individual product from the collection after using for several days and weeks. Click the videos to check out each review.

Hair Extensions Video Segment Video 2!

VIDEO 2: DIY: HOW TO INSTALL NANO RING AND MICRO RING HAIR EXTENSIONS

So, as you guys know from my YouTube channel, I have a lot of videos to do with hair extensions. I am obsessed! I also wrote a blog post a few months ago stating that I am doing a new video segment on Nano Ring Hair Extensions.
There are 3 parts to my Hair Extensions Segment - parts 1 and 2 are already uploaded. I uploaded video 2 a few months ago, but completely forgot to blog about it until now. There aren't many videos on YouTube about Nano ring hair extensions, so felt that this would be a great and easy way to share some more information for all you guys who wants to try these, or a new method of hair extensions.
Part 2 is all about how to install these extensions. This is the DIY way, and I installed these on myself with no help. You can't see in the video that I actually have a mirror behind me and in front, so I can see the back of my head a lot easier, so I can install them. '
If you have any questions on where I bought these extensions or any of the tools, all links will be in the information box of the video on YouTube.

I hope this video helps all of you out, and you enjoy!

I have Videos 1 and 2 below. Please check out and subscribe to my YouTube channel here!

Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Tint Review & Swatches!

05:05 0 Comments

You may have seen that I have recently posted a video of a first impression review on the Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Tint, and noticed that I had 3 different colours and promised to do swatches. So here they are!
You may have seen that these lip tints have been out for sometime, and I've always wanted to try a lip tint. Especially when it states that it's long lasting and transfer proof! There are 6 colours in the collection - I'm not sure if they keep changing colours and replacing them with new ones, but every website I've looked on, seems to have different colours! They Retail for £5.99 and they offer 2 steps on how to apply this.
Step 1 - Apply the colour onto lips and wait to dry.
Step 2 - Once colour has dried, apply the balm for all over moisture.

The colours which I have, are Faithful Rose, Stay Very Berry & Carry On Cherry. I have also included some swatches on my arm underneath.

 Swatches
(R-L) Stay Very Berry, Carry On Cherry, Faithful Rose
Packaging
(L-R) Stay Very Berry, Carry On Cherry, Faithful Rose
Review
You will see from the packaging that it is quite true to colour, other than Carry On Cherry. This seems to come out slightly more brown on the swatch, compared to the packaging. Also, when I tried to apply the colour on the Carry On Cherry, the tip of the felt tip was incredibly dry, so had to use the side of the pen to line my lips, which is pretty tricky.
The balm was quite solid when I first used it, so was quite hard to put on the balm. But after a few strokes, the balm warmed up, and went on like any normal lip balm. A great thing with the balm, was that it definitely moisturised my lips and made them feel smooth. Even just using the lip balm on its own would be a great idea!
I noticed that when applying the lip tint to my lips, it didn't flow as well as I would have hoped. There were many gaps in the colour, and didn't look all that great. It seemed to look a lot better once the balm was on, but still looked very gappy. Once the colour is applied, it is very bright and looks very well done from far away, and on camera!
I like the way that both lids have to make a 'click' sound to know when they are on properly and securely. This is great for you to pop in your bag, because you know that the colour and the balm won't go everywhere and make a mess. I also think that having a double ended pen is great, as this way you have 2 products in 1, and it saves room in your makeup bag.

My Holy Grail Face Cream!

12:01 0 Comments
As I've mentioned in a few of my blog posts and my videos, my skin type is very annoying a combination of different things.
For instance, my skin is dry, sensitive and acne prone. And I know there are a lot of people out there who suffer from dry skin, sensitive skin or acne - I just happen to be all 3! So you can only imagine how hard it is for me to find products for my skin that don't actually irritate any of the problems I have. I finally managed to find my Holy Grail that actually worked wonders on my crazy skin!

One of the biggest and hardest products I've had to find to help out my skin, is face cream. I've experienced rashes, bright red skin, and more and more breakouts that I had before I started using the product.

I've tried many different face creams for quite a few years, to try to find one to match my skin. Ever since I can remember, I have had very dry patches over my face, that no cream seemed to get rid of them. I had medium sized dry patches on each cheek, and my nose was very dry - up to the point where my nose would be flaky and red on most days, so I needed to find a great moisturiser!
I had tried Nivea cream for my face, and even though its a very rich moisturising cream, it still didn't manage to shift my dry patches. I would put it on over night, and whilst it was on, I had no dry patches, but as soon as I woke up the next morning, my dry patches were back, and hadn't improved. I also tried Aquaeous cream, which my mum said would work wonders, as it was a deep moisturiser. I put this all over my face, and it became itchy as I slept, and would not rub in! It did moisturise my dry patches a little, but they were still quite bad.

I even tried several foundations specifically for dry skin, to help moisturise as well as cover. this didn't turn out too good for my acne. None had the coverage I needed, and looked very light coverage (even though one said medium/full coverage), so it didn't cover up my acne or help my dry patches. In fact, these foundations actually flared my acne even more. I don't know whether it's the oil or the moisturisers they put in these foundations, but none agreed with dry, sensitive, acne prone my skin. so I felt like there was nothing that would actually work on my face.

That was until I saw that there was a new line of products which came out last year, called Garnier Moisture Match.
They have 5 different creams for each different skin type - Normal Skin, Normal/Dry Skin, Dull Skin, Combination/Oily Skin, and Dry/Very Dry Skin. I thought, as they have made different moisturisers for specific skin types, this would be great for me! It also helped that this product was on an 'introductory offer' in basically ever store I went to, so they worked out to be roughly £2.50.
I knew that I definitely needed the tube that was Dry/Very Skin if I wanted this to work, so picked up the box, and read the back to make sure there would be no irritations. A great thing with this line of products, is that they are all colour coded for a different skin type. The Dry/Very Dry was coloured Pink.
     The box said:
  • Texture Created with nourishing but ultra-light oils, its texture is rich but non-greasy. This moisturiser gives you the comfort you need in a flash, without feeling heavy on your skin.
  • Ingredients Enriched with Camellia oil and Mannose
  • Benefits It works straight away, so your skin’s smiling with comfort in no time. The formula helps leave your skin feeling hydrated for up to 24 hours.
  • NON-GREASY
  • EASILY ABSORBED
  • SUITABLE FOR SENSITIVE SKIN
Looking at those final 3 points on the front of the box, the product was sold to me. A non greasy formula means that there's no harsh oils that would irritate my acne and flare up more acne (like other creams). Easily Absorbed showed me that I would not be waiting around a long time for the cream to absorb into my skin, so would be quick for me to do my make-up. And Suitable for sensitive skin meant that there was a very minute chance that I would develop an irritation from the product.

So the first morning I put on this product, I noticed that the cream was pretty thick, but had an amazing fragrance of Rose. It wasn't over powering, it was ever so slight, but very pleasant. As soon as I applied this, I noticed I would not need a lot, and managed to put the size of 2 peas on my finger, and it rubbed all the way into my neck and all over my face, with some spare to do my hands too! it did not feel too heavy on my skin, and absorbed within 2-3 minutes, which was amazing! I also felt absolutely NO irritation whilst I was rubbing in the cream.
Throughout the day, I still had absolutely no problems with this product, plus my foundation didn't budge at all!
That night when I took my makeup off, my dry patches hadn't completely gone, but there was a slight improvement. There was no irritation, and I didn't feel any extra acne popping up over my face.

After a week, I really noticed a difference in my skin. My dry patches on my nose had fully healed up and my cheeks were finally normal, and my dry nose was a lot better than it was before. It didn't feel as dry, and noticed that my nose wasn't flaking like it had been for over a year previously.
After 2 weeks, the dryness on my nose was completely gone. There were absolutely no dry patches at all on my face and neck, and they felt greatly moisturised. My acne didn't get any worse, and it still hasn't to this day.
Now,  my skin is so much better and so much nicer than I could have imagined. I have absolutely no dry patches anywhere on my face or neck, my acne hasn't got any worse (I still get the odd spot and a simple moisturiser wont completely get rid of acne). The best thing of all? I no longer have dry skin. This moisturiser has made me have normal skin, and it feels a lot smoother and healthier than I could ever imagine. I'm in love with this product!

Garnier Moisture Match, you are my Holy Grail Face Cream and I love the wonders you have done for my skin!

Hope you enjoyed this post,

What's in My Makeup Bag?

11:04 0 Comments

I like to switch up certain products in my make-up bag every now and again. Maybe some I like at the beginning, and then am not fond of, or some I like to repurchase over an over again!
I have a annoying skin type, and can only find a few specific face products which actually work on my skin and don't irritate me. My skin is sensitive, and dry-combination, plus I suffer with acne. I know that there are a lot of people who have similar skin to me, and want to know products that won't irritate themselves, and also some people would just like to know what I use. so I decided to create a video showing the products which I keep in my lovely little panda bear make-up bag.
The products which are in my makeup bag are:
  • Nivea daily moisture primer
  • Garnier Skin Naturals Moisture Match Face Cream in Dry/Very Dry Skin
  • Vaseline Rose Tint Lip Balm
  • EOS Summer Fruits Lip Balm
  • MUA Gel Eyeliner in Black
  • Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Waterproof Mascara
  • Soap & Glory Love At First Blush
  • Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown
  • Rimmel soft kohl eyeliner in Black
  • Benefit Boiing Concealer in 001
  • Rimmel sun shimmer in Light Matte
there are also reviews on each products in the video.

Taylor Swift Make-up Tutorial

10:03 0 Comments

I've been huge fan of make-up for a very long time, and have been doing a few make-up tutorials on YouTube. I like to experiment with different shade, and palettes, so I know what is a great look before I did a tutorial.
I love Taylor Swift's makeup, and she always looks flawless, but looks as though she does minimal effort , which I think is great! I decided to try out some products that I've either had for a long time, or new products, and incorporate that into a new makeup tutorial. I used this tutorial to my advantage because I am fair skinned, and so is she, so knew I had an advantage and it would more or less suit my skin tone.
All of the products that I used are my own and have worked amazingly for my skin, and here are the products and brushes I used to create this look:

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in Light Porcelain
Rimmel Clean Finish Foundation in Ivory
Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown
Dainty Doll Eyeshadow Base
MUA Undressed Palette
MUA Undress Me Too Palette
Rimmel Soft Kohl Eyeliner in Black
Maybelline 24hour Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black
Maybelline Big Eyes The Falsies Waterproof Mascara in Black
Benefit Boiing Concealer in 01
Rimmel Sun Shimmer in Light Matte
Soap and Glory Love At First Blush
Kelly Brook Lip Crayon in Red
MUA Matte Lipstick in Scarlett Siren
Fearne Cotton Lipgloss in Red

Brushes used:
Real Techniques Buffing Brush
Real Techniques Contour Brush
Real Techniques Detailing Brush
Fearne Cotton Double Ended Brushes

I feel as though I pulled off the look very well, and captured her technique greatly. Have a look at the video, and see if you want to have a go!

Back From Florida & New Video!

05:02 0 Comments
Hey guys,
So as you may know, I've been on holiday to Florida for just over 2 weeks at the end of February, which is why my account was a little inactive and I didn't upload for the whole time I was in Florida. I'm very sorry about this, mainly it was to do with the Wi-Fi in the villa I was staying at, which wasn't good at all and I couldn't watch videos, upload videos or reply to your comments. But now that I'm back, I've finally had chance to do all of that.
Yesterday, I managed to upload a new video, which shows all of the items which I bought on my holiday (well the things I haven't used up anyway). I've also finally managed to reply to all of your comments also. I didn't realise I had so many comments within my 2 weeks away, and I'm so happy for all of the positive comments you've given me! Thank you all so much!
Because of me being away, I also haven't managed to upload new First Impressions Friday videos as well, which I promised I would do every Friday. but I can promise that I have a new F.I.F to come this Friday coming. so keep your eyes peeled for that! and thank you for being so patient with me! :)

Hope you enjoy the video and make sure that you subscribe to my channel here!

New Hair Extension Video Segments!

07:42 0 Comments
So, as you all may know from my YouTube channel, I am obsessed with hair extensions, and have tried many different techniques. I've finally managed to find a technique that I am completely and fully happy with, and that is Nano Ring Hair Extensions. I know a lot about these, and I do them myself in my hair, so thought I'd share everything with you that I do and know. That is why I've decided to do a new 3 part segment on my channel about Nano Rings!
The first video, is going to be about How To Dye the Nano Ring Extensions, if they are slightly wrong, or completely wrong. Now, I'm not saying that I know everything and that I'm a professional, because I don't and I'm not, this is just the way that I do them myself and they work out great! In this video, I show you the technique on what I do, and I show you all products that I use. (Below is this video).
The second video is How To Install Nano Ring Hair Extensions. A lot of you have asked me about how to install these extensions, so thought I would do a video showing you the technique and the process of myself doing these on my own hair. I have done a previous brief video on how to install Micro ring & Micro loop extensions so you can check that out if you like below.
The third video is going to be How To Care For Nano Ring Extensions. This is going to be all of the products I use, all of the hints and tips I have and how to wash them without them falling out or being ripped out.
This is my favourite type of extension (and I've tried a lot!) so tried to find even more information than I already knew so you guys can get the best possible extensions and tips that you can get!

I hope you enjoy these videos and let me know your feedback.

Valentine's day!

09:39 0 Comments
A lot of you are absolutely crazy about Valentine's Day, and some are stuck with an idea on their makeup.
I thought I'd take this opportunity to make my own tutorial for this special day. I decided to use some new products that I haven't used before, so I was quite scared because I didn't know how it would turn out. Also, with tutorials, I don't try them out beforehand, so whatever's in the video, is literally my first take on doing this make-up look.
I wanted to keep the theme colours (reds and pinks), but thought that I wanted a quite strong eye colour and lip colour, but not make it go too crazy! this is why I decided to just sticks with pinks. I did a beautiful multi tonal pink eye, with the drama of the flicked eyeliner and false lashes, but then kept the colour for the lips to a cute, baby pink. This way, you're attracted to both the eyes and the lips, but one doesn't take over the other.
I was a bit worried about using my bright pink Dainty Doll eye shadow, as it was fluorescent pink and knew that if you put a light, neutral shade over the top, it would make a beautiful coloured pink for the eyes. (plus the lighter shade had shimmer, so made it look beautiful).

Beauty Products I Won't Be Repurchasing!

10:42 0 Comments
Recently, I've been trying to find the perfect products for my skin and for my hair.
I have sensitive, dry, acne-prone, pale skin, I find it hard to find any foundation and creams which suit my skin. My hair is dry, damaged and thin from all of the bleaching I used to do my hair, so find it hard to find products which completely nourish my hair to leave it soft and silky. I also don't have very long eyelashes, so its difficult to find a mascara which lengthens and volumizes them to how I like them. So, as you can imagine, there are a lot of products I go through to try to find the perfect ones for me, and it's quite a bit of a challenge.
I know that a lot of you don't want to keep spending money on products which do not live up to their promises on the packaging, (and I have a lot of those!) so I thought id do a video for all of you showing the products which I have bought, and have not lived up to what they say they do. This way, I hope it helps you all into not buying products which don't actually work! Or maybe you've bought these products, and they've actually worked for you. In that case, I'm glad that they worked for someone :)
I've managed to find some products which I feel should be in the list of the 'Products I Wont Be Repurchasing', so here you go and enjoy!

First Impressions Friday : January Update

10:32 0 Comments
If you've seen my First Impressions Friday (F.I.F) videos, you'll know that I videoed my first impressions for Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation and Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara.
I gave my full honest opinion of these products from my first impressions of using them, and my idea of the Rimmel Foundation dramatically changed so I thought I'd do an update to show you all my final thoughts and if I'd be returning the products.

Hope you enjoy the video! :)

First Impressions Friday!

06:56 0 Comments
I love doing reviews but I knew that I did a lack of review videos, and I just always try different products. So I wondered, what about sharing my First Impression of these products with everyone.
I've seen a lot of videos of reviewers using Fridays as their designated day for doing these review so decide I would hop on the band wagon and do Fridays as my first impressions days. There are so many new products I would love to try out, and if I didn't like them, I could always return them back to the store, or give them to some friends or family members who would actually like them if I didn't. Obviously I would give other people my mascaras or pencil eyeliners, they could get an infection!
I decided just after Christmas I would do these videos, so my subscribers could easily know that I was doing a new review every Friday of new products.
I received a Soap & Glory Thick and Fast mascara for Christmas, so decided that was to be my first video. I then saw a new foundation in my local drugstore so decided to try that out too! (it said that it was full coverage and I needed a full coverage foundation really bad.
So here are my first two first impressions videos. See if I liked them or didn't.

Enjoy,
Chloe :)
